Riverhead seeks 2nd opinion on endangered owls

unbelievable how inept riverhead town gov. actually is...A ski hill??this is the best they could do???Ive been skiing for 7 years...why would i pay money to ski a 350 foot ski hill in riverhead...???people in nassau could drive an hour and ten minutes west and ski a real ski resort in jersey...how many people could ski on this hill?? it sounds like a nightmare that soon after being built will be out of business.

This is an example of how clueless our political leaders are in regards to overdevelopment in Long Island. Why don't they just build an indoor beach with palm trees?

An A.T.V. park would be much better for Long Island then a 400 FT. Indoor Ski Mntn. And a man made water ski lake. Much less expensive, much less energy. And it stays green...

What about traffic?
Grumman used to have its employee picnic every summer and the congestion from that on RT 25 was a nightmare for those of us living close by and that was just one week end a year...
I do not belive a ski resort would attract enought people to remain operational for long...

I suggest we build a soccer stadium and host a match between the Guadalajara Chivas and the Morelia Monarcas.This would draw 99% of the illegal population on the island and then we simply lock the doors from the outside. 70,000 in one pen.Priceless.

And where will the electric power come from to make snow for this mountstrosity. LIPA can't supply the people that live here for a reasonable price. What BRIGHT light thought this up, what are they trying to do??? get Long Island on Discovery Channel?? Some polititions need to be impeached.....

What we really need is a nice big DEPORTATION CENTER on the site for all the illegals on Long Island.

So we sacrifice a few endangered owls for a few hundred thousand endangered AMERICAN FAMILIES so what.

Lets round up all the illegal aliens and send them all home on a slow, very slow, ship from orient point down to the gulf of mexico. You know like the way they used to do it back in the good ole days (early 1900's). No Libtards back then.

Sounds like Riverhead has the start of a wildlife park in the making on the old Grumman property! First there was the Cookoos looking to build an indoor ski hill... and now the short ear owls. Add the baboons and jackasses running the show in Riverhead and it's jungle habitat on the eastend!
