Motorist killed when car hits tree in Calumet City

The driver - identified as 23-year-old Darius L. Raheem - was headed northbound on the Bishop Ford Freeway near 152nd Street about 3:07 a.m. when his car went off the roadway and struck a tree, Illinois State Police said.

Though I had met him about a month and a half before he died, he was amazing. He was hard-working, friendly, happy, funny, dedicated, musicly motivated and talented, and he had inner, as well as, outer beauty. I will miss him alot! This is a sudden and unexpected tragedy. He had so much to achieve in life. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Been searching for answers and can't find any to explain why someone so wonderful, hard working, driven, special and loved has been taken from us so young. Rest well son.
