Nothing homophobic about any of the comments, being gay is not normal, if it was population would have been doing it long before it was "fashionable". It's just "in" now so everyone is gay just to be "different." It's actually disgusting and not normal.
Gay in the military is also wrong because it takes away the cohesion of the unit. The soldier has to worry about his own saftey because the gay soldier in his unit is more interested in getting in his pants than completeing the mission.
It's just plain wrong and has nothing to do with God. The people that decided that they are Gay are looking for attention because they didn't get it when they were younger or were losers and couldn't attract the opposite sex. It's just wrong.

Homosexuality in humans has been around for as long as there were humans. It was even prevalent in Roman society where gay marriages were actually allowed. Society's views about homosexuality are changing, which is causing more closet homosexuals to feel comfortable coming out, not "creating" more, or fake gays. No, it isn't *statistically* normal, but who cares? And who cares if you find it disgusting?

Wow, heterosexual men in the military must be so incredibly sexy (or just have huge egos) if they think every gay man is completely preoccupied with getting in their pants! Do you use the same argument for women in the military? Or do you admit that people who *might* be sexually attracted to one another could still work well together?

People don't "decide" they are gay, they *know* they are gay and many try to hide it for years because of attitudes of people like you. Acting like they can't attract the opposite sex is laughable. Many times I have thought "what a waste!" when finding out an extremely eligible bachelor was gay.

Anyway, on topic, I love Wanda Sykes but never knew she was gay. It's good that so many celebrities are coming out for the cause. Hopefully it will give it the publicity it needs.

Interracial marriages aren't statistically "normal" either. Should we outlaw them? Does everyone have to be in the statistical majority to deserve rights? Why do you assume that gays aren't "grown-up" or working for their benefits? Why don't they deserve equal rights? Because you find them "icky"?

So was that a yes about women in the military? You believe they shouldn't be allowed? What about different races? They certainly aren't "like you in all aspects". Should all members of a military unit come from the same place, the same race, same religion, same economic background, have the same skin color, hair color, be the same height, have the same favorite foods....? Or does only their preference in sexual partners matter? Should we start screening members of the military to make sure that they have the exact same fetishes even with the opposite sex?

Homosexuality isn't a "choice". Did you ever hear a gay person say it was? Do you think you could choose just for a few moments to be gay? Did you ever "choose" to be straight? For that matter, did you ever make a conscious choice about what type of women you like?

Why would anyone "choose" to be gay and suffer so much discrimination?
