Yall need to come to Mayfield and look around. they told us the same thing our town will grow. well it has not. crime is up, dui are up. yall need to think about it. i thought i would ever see this in Mayfield but it is here. the weekends is the worst. it is your town, and you will have to live with it. i am living with it and i do not like it.

Same here in Lyon Co - Kuttawa went wet and we were told it would boost tourism - big boost, One restaurant off I24 Oasis and a little joint at Buzzard Rock Marina. No Industry, No windfall of taxes, no additional influx of tourist and no additional businesses have come in. Look at West Ky Outlet Mall - 6 stores are all that exist in all 3 phases of buildings. Now we hear that Hardee's is going to close as well.

Mayfield is a different story. Cadiz needs this for the economy. so if you don't know about Cadiz don't talk about Cadiz.

Look at Murray!! We have lots of new business, our town has grown and we do have more tourists. Our liquor by the drink vote was one of the best things we ever did for our town. I'm not sure about other places, but Murray is wonderful. The weekends are fun, there are lots of family activities and we have a wonderful park. And at the end of long week if you'd like you can go out and eat a good meal and have a drink with it. No one can say that Murray isn't much better since we went "moist"
