I'm all for paying out debts to society. But here's my problem. My son had a couple of tickets and didn't pay them, so he was given a court date which is great. He needed one but he gets deferred adjudication, so he has a month to get this paid off. That was last week and then yesterday he is picked up for a ticket and failure to appear. When I talked with him he was in the understanding that he had payment arrangements made for this. So here is my question. Why when they had him in court last week wasn't this all taken care of? So now that he was arrested yesterday he lost his job for not showing up and then when he gets out in a month his deferred adjudication is due and will be arrested again, or so I'm told. Why in the world are we setting these people up to fail and does anyone have any idea how many times this happens? Any ideas on how to change this or at least make the "powers that be" aware of this. Thank you for answering this.

Pay your tickets so you don't have a problem. If you can't afford a ticket then don't break the law in the first place. I know it sounds harsh but the best way to beat the system is to never get in it in the first place.6243
