I'm sorry to have to disagree with you. I know several women who are sheriffs. There is one back in Ks. that has held that position for over 40 years. She would carry her terms then she would be deputy. Then she would run again. She finally quit and is now working for the KBI. She has got more common sense than any man that ever ran against her. She is a very good agent now. Women have to stand up for theirselves. Men wont. A good woman could do this job. She would have to be qualified and know what she was doing. Not just any woman. Sometimes it takes a woman to do a mans job if you want it done right....I dont know if a woaman just because she loves dogs is the right woman for the job, but there may be a good woman out there for it. You wont find one that is perfect. There are no people out there willing to do this job that have all the qualifications that demented posted. ONLY GOD!!!

Cathy Ckockett not only loves dogs she rescues animals , heals them most of the time they are at death's door, loves them and finds them forever homes, even spent the night in jail over one, that is only a tiny part of her fine qualities,there are many more, you sound icy to me.
