If its anything that will give competition to B&K, you can forget it! SoB and his county commissioner buddies will do everything they can to stop it. Do you ever stop and think why this place has been allowed to just dry up? Thats because this bunch doesn't want any business or industry that might mean competition for them. Look around!
Now, SoB apparently thinks he can fix up the courthouse wall and re-election will be certain.
What a plan!

B town was dried up long before Bilbrey starting running the B and K.

Aldi coming here,yeah right.

Cookeville and Somerset have Aldi stores.do you really think they put Aldi stores in little towns where no one lives?

Aldi has decent prices on off brand stuff but most of their brand name food isnt any cheaper than any place else.In fact some of their name brand food is higher priced than Sav-a-lot.

Start a rumor about us not getting an Aldi store, that was never in the works anyway ,and then blame a local politician for us not getting the fantasy story store....how silly.

Mojo is right. I am sorry to tell you that Aldi will not consider a town that is:

a) remote
b) sparsley populated

It would be more likely that they would place one in Livingston. I worked for Aldi for eight years and know how they decide on sites. You might pray for a Save A Lot as you have a better chance of getting one. Has anyone spoken to the management of B and K to let them know what you like or don't like? I think the Bilbrey's would try their best to implement your suggestion if reasonable. If you don't like shopping there drive to Allons to the Walmart, as they have just about everything.
I like Aldi Stores

I personally like Aldi Stores. Some of their items is as high as other stores but then again they've got items that are cheaper like eggs for 49 cents a dozen and milk for 1.69 or 1.89. Bread is cheap there too. I wish we would get one. I'd sure trade there.

Then why would Wal-Mart put another store in Smithville Tenn.? They already have two in Cookeville plus a SAM'S ? I think it's the power of the purchase that they are after.

i would support another grocery store here in good ole btown. i love it here and i do wish we could get a few more things here. dont get me wrong i like the B&K but they are ridiculously high on things, you can go to food lion and get cheaper stuff. but i do spend alot of money there and i mean alot. ive never figured out why they cant lower prices on somethings because to me it only makes sense because they would sell alot more.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
