I doubt that. God by nature would have to be a conservative. Actually, the first democrat was Adam though because he listened to the first feminist, Eve.

The New Testament gives us a fine example of the communist nature of God.

Check out the story of Ananias and Sappira:

There you'll see that the principle of killing those who don't conform to the collectivisation of goods/property was a biblical one. This was nearly two thousand years before the advent of Marx and Engels.

Of course, this guy agreed completely with you:

What about the Parable of the Talents? That supports acquiring capital. Acquiring capital is kinda being a capitalist.

The original post God was or is not a Republican? So I guess when Lincoln freed the slaves he was working for Satan? and all the Southern Democrats that supported segregation during the civil rights period where divinely inspired?

Jim Jones agrees that God is a communist? I guess JJ got at least something right.

I don't know about the Parable of the Talents but I guess like any parable, it's open to interpretation.

Didn't Jesus say something like....

"Sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven”. Sounds like socialism.

"Lend expecting nothing in return". More socialism

"Give to him who begs from you and don't refuse him who would borrow from you". More socialism

Jesus wasn't concerned about wealth - Republicans are.

I don't know much about your civil war but I do know that Christians also died in their thousands for the right to keep slaves.

Democrats and Republicans are both concerned with wealth. That is why they are greedy politicians. The Democrats have seven of the ten richest Congressmen and they are supposed to be the party of the working people? BOTH political parties in this country are GARBAGE. Neither is anywhere near divine. Where in the bible did God put something up for a vote? When things are put up for a vote you get golden calves and Democrats and Republicans.

Your comments about socialism should be taken in context. All your examples are on a small local scale. Where in the bible does it say form a govt. have them steal (tax) from everyone. Of the money stolen give 50% of that to the politicians. Take another 40% and waste on various govt. things and then the last 10% give it to some poor people.

My point is that all the examples are suggestions for an individual and no where does it condone a bad govt. system.
