Watson's Store

I heard rumor that they were closing?? Can this be true?
I thought they were doing ok with their store...

Oh I thought they meant Peebles in Elizabethton. It used to be called Watsons. Sorry.What kind of store is the one in Butler?

Watsons is a small country store.Bread ,milk and other usefull things.Glad they had can lids,saved me a trip to town.We would miss Watsons if it closed.

I sure hope they don't close b/c watsons is the only place in butler to get necessities from...otherwise the people of butler would have to drive to mountain city or atleast hampton to get things and that would be ridiculous. we definitely need another general store and a GAS STATION for petes sake. this town is going down bad ..there is absolutely nothing here. I'm actually considering moving to elizabethton.

I agree, and it seems to me that they don't want to allow any new businesses or make it possible for anyone to open one.
Look how many have failed already...I just don't understand how they think.

Wont allow ? Butler is wide open for any buisness that would come down here.There is plenty of places available,we could use a Dollar store and a gas station would save the day for many who have to travel at least 15 miles in either direction to buy gas.As for the closings of the stores,thats a different story.

they might go out of business! It all depends on how much money thye make

well then, they ought to be making plenty money with the prices they charge...

What restaurants and shops are in Butler around the lake ? I haven't been there in years but it was during "Butler Days" festival and there was alot of activites, it seemed !
