have been watching butler city council meetings for a while and wonder does anyone beside me think that cline seems to always be focused on herself and playing to the camera?

She's no worse than the treasurer Ralphie D, how she got elected is beyond me.

Keep an eye on Ms. Kline. She may one day want to run for Mayor.

She couldn't run to the Burger Hut from the city building, her whole platform was stop the Wayne St connector, after that she had nothing of substance to offer, I enjoy paying the 2 mii ''recreation'' tax every year, between the pedophile supporting mayor and now Mr casual Fred Reese I can't wait till the next tax increase for some BS program. Let me state here Pullman Park is a complete boondoggle that is going to cost the city taxpayers another tax increae, thanks Lenny and former Councilman Krause, there's a majority of stooges just ready, willing and able to make it come true on council now

Kathy Kline was also involved with the Penn Theater Community Trust. Does anyone know if She is still associated with the organization. Hopefully she did not participate in that whole fiasco.3

I'm not aware of her involvement with the Penn, I believe that was Mayor Maggie and 'The Donald', (sorry Mr Trump), she was the main force behind having the bycycle rodeo that Mr Offstein promoted for many years, before the politicos got involved I believe I believe it was a sincere and genorous effort by Mr Offstein to do something good for the children, once Commissioner Kennedy and the rest of the Assklown politcians got involved it was all self serving on the politicos part. Lok at me I'm helping the ''underprivled'' kids on the Island, funny how they took pictures and fingerprints of those kids under the guise of protecting them. I would be willing to bet they turned those photos and prints into helping arrest then after a crime was committed.

Butler Man Charged in East End Melee

A Butler man was charged with starting a melee in the city's East End early Saturday morning.

City police say they received a call about a large crowd gathering for a fight in between the Monroe Hotel and the A Plus mini-market during the two o'clock hour. Police arrived at the scene and found 24-year-old Aaron Bender being restrained by another man.

Police were told that Bender had caused a disturbance at the Monroe Hotel some time ago when he spilled beer on one of the bar's patrons. He was asked to leave several times but refused. He was released

Wonder if Councilman Reese dropped the dime to his ''private'' bouncer crew to take care of this ????

Ms. Kline always looks angry at those meetings.

Also Kathy Kline was listed as the Public Relations person for the Penn Theater Community Trust.

There was a link on the Butler Eagles website, with her listing, but they removed it after I posted it on Topix before. It must have made some folks mad.

why aren't any of you on city council? i'm not saying that the people that are now are any better than you would be, but if you want change, you need to do more than talk about change.

Nothing will change in government. Government is all about taking tax money and deciding where to spend it. The people who run for these positions crave this power to spend tax money. The only things that change are the amount they tax us and how they spend the money.
Another thing that won't change is the "service" you get from some government workers. Cold, unfriendly scowls from union clock watchers who don't have to be nice to taxpayers in order to keep their jobs.

Damn if Kathy Kline is not still a board member of the Penn Theater.

Folks, the comments here are well received, but I agree, they belong in an even bigger venue. Run for City Council! You're already a relatively organized bunch - why not expand that to garner some support and seek an elected office? No experience necessary! Butler needs and deserves better than what's been foisted upon it. Anyone on this board can outdo the current council members. Step up!

I need to requote my last statment. The Penn Trust is asking for a loan to buy the theater from Rasely. Rasely couldn't afford to give a loan. He is strapped by his $70.00 a month restitution.

I looked on the butler county website. According to the deed, the Penn appears to have been sold by Rasely to someone else for $1.00 in Dec of 2007. I was told this person was a relative?

I would run, but exposing corruption and misdeeds by local govt does not qualify me as a canidate. More people need to publicly condemn the actions of city govt. Get themselves involved in the selection of a good canidate that does have what it takes.

I will be at the city polling place with a bag of nude baby dolls this year campaigning for stock should she make the foolish attempt to run again..

Just like my name says. Nothing will change. Opinions don't matter. It's just a way to vent and make us feel better. This is a waste of time.
