I also await the ''fixing'' of the creek. Do to the one time in a hundred year flood a couple of years ago I was forced by FEMA to purchase flood insurance.I'm sure everybody has a extra grand sitting around. I don't think the city even made it down to my street to sweep it this year, what's up with tha Councilman Joe?

Butler resident is right. They paved (well, half paved) Jefferson McKean and Cunningham St but the rest of the streets are crap. Maybe they realized the mistake, and stopped cuz the paving job is only partially done. Oh, and has anybody noticed that they put in brand spanking new handicapped access on the sidewalk on S. monroe st? The side walk is closed MORONS!!! The building could fall down any day now, and the side walk is closed!!! Unbelievable....

Jefferson Street is a state highway (Route 68) therefore the City of Butler is not responsible for maintaining it. As for the sidewalk, the city had to add make ALL sidewalks handicapped accessible in order to comply with federal regulations, so the city did not have much choice in the matter.
