i heard osbi and fbi investigating police

is ecpd, dtf and sherriffs office being investigated

They are being investigated because a DTF officer was on a traffic stop and called for back up. An Elk City Officer and a Beckham County Deputy showed up and turned out that the guy DTF had stopped was an off duty Elk City Officer. Ended up DTF and County had a shoot out with the two Elk City Officers. The Off duty officer was shot in the leg and arm and the On duty officer's car got shot up. That's why the new Elk City Police Car is that little honda civic.

well its about time. hell while they are down here someone needs to put the bug in their ear to also investigate the child welfare. that should be interesting and time consuming

The officer that got shot died and they buried his body in the landfill. There was a female in the car and she was an illegal that worked for the FBI through the mexican government exchange program. She was actually working on her own and was delivering meth to all the cops dope dealers in beckham county. The DTF police got shot too but had bullet proof vests on so they didn't get hurt other then superficial wounds. A dog in the car got glass splinters in his head so he was rushed to OU Animal Hospital but they refused to work on him because he was born in Texas.

You people have got to get a life. Do you really think if this actually took place that every news channel for 500 miles wouldn't be covering it? When you make up the next story TRY to make it believable. It was a good story though.

I have recently been subjected to the badgering, crooked, dishonest behavior by the Elk City police department, more specifically DETECTIVE GERHOLD. i was asked to come in for a couple questions to aid police in an investigation involoving the business where I was employeed. When I went to the police station to HELP I was SHOCKED at what actually took place! I am an upstanding citizen who has NEVER been convicted of a crime but because I married someone who had a troubled past (HE SERVED HIS TIME) I was treated in a way that not even a criminal deserved. I was lied to. I was badgered, harassed, and accused of a crime I did not commit! I was humiliated. I lost my job as a result of this and I felt HELPLESS! I still feel HELPLESS and DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. I would have never believed someone in a position of authority could be allowed to act this way without NO REPRIMAND! The detective had already come to the conclusion I was the guilty party without investigating or questioning any other possibilities. Had the detective done HIS JOB I would have never seen the inside of the police station. What's sad is the responsible party I feel was never even questioned. The responsible party has FOUR FELONY CONVICTIONS that seemed to be overlooked. The detective was more concerned with my husband's past than finding the facts. I am new to Elk City and was excited to call Elk City home for me and my new husband. If this is the treatment everyone receives from the Elk City Police Department, I can see why everyone has so many negative things to say. I highly recommend whoever is responsible for holding the Elk City Police Department accountable PLEASE INVESTIGATE! Elk City does not deserve this reputation! Innocent people do not deserve to be HARASSED especially when they are trying to help the police. I was under the impression that in the United States you are innocent until proven guilty, however I felt strongly I had to prove my innocence from the very beginning. I felt the detective was not going to let me leave until I confessed to a crime I did not commit. I can truly see now how police will play innocent people just to have someone to "pin" it on. My advice to anyone that deals with the Elk City Police Department is KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! ALWAYS RECORD CONVERSATIONS YOU HAVE WITH THE POLICE! AND DO NOT ASSUME THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE OR BECAUSE YOU ARE INNOCENT THAT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! I honestly cannot believe that I am writing a warning about the people that are supposed to protect us but I do not want anyone to be as naive as I was and suffer the same humiliation!

The police department must have reason to believe that you did the crime as well as the company you worked for since you were fired and the only one at the time who had access to the deposit since the person with "four felony convictions " did not have a key at the time!!!

cops are liars - period. if they "ask" you to come to the station to answer some questions, do not go and immediately contact a lawyer. once a lawyer is involved, they'll back off. if you show up without a lawyer, your goose is cooked. they'll lie and tell you they have all these witnesses that say you did it and you should just confess and get it off your chest. don't fall for that trick. it's the oldest one on the books. cops are allowed to lie to you to get you to confess and before you know it they'll accuse you of being involved in the conspiracy to kill jfk. small town cops are the worst. they have little training, lack a college education and specifically prey on those who they know they can manipulate into giving themselves up.
