Don't worry soon here comes the school again for another try.
Why not, Like the old saying goes. If at first you don't succeed, keep wasting taxpayers money until you do. Just think, with all the wasted money on referendums, surveys etc, we could have built onto East and added more classrooms or better yet, cut all admin pay and benefits and buy some IPADS for classrooms and goe bookless. Many other schools are going that way.
So lets forget wasting time on the idea of building another school just so a few kids get another try at a sports team, or some phonies in Homer Glen will feel good about themselves in winning the referendum fight.
But I seriously don't think we need it. The economy is still in a downward spiral far as housing market. People are still just beginning to enter foreclosure and leave the area, even state. Illinois is one of the highest taxed states in the country. Look what it got us.
Forget the state grant money, the state is only around 90 billion or so in debt also. Get ready for another NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO vote!!!
So not even a slice of pizza, or the price of a cup of coffee etc will convince all of us that a new school is needed. We just added more classrooms, keep the mobile ones, heck if you need more classroom space move all the admin functions to Central campus and use those office space. Combine offices, share space for admin. Plenty of options to go before another school is really needed.
First the economy has to rebound bringing more families into the area not leaving. Every year enrollment is still going down. Even with all this the local govts are raising taxes along with state and fed just to pay for what they have now. Nothing extra.
Unless the admin has a truly crystal ball to see into the future for growth, they should also see . Here it comes
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
is the crystal ball getting clear now
