The Eagan Mayor is an idiot. These people incite others to break the law and he calls it free speak. I hate these people and wish Eagan had the courage to
cite the drivers who honk their horns illegally. Horns are NOT free speach, they are a federally mandated safety appliance with specific state statutes governing their use. This protest is illegal and should be stopped, breaking the law is not free speach it's illegal activity.

169.68 HORN, SIREN.
(a) Every motor vehicle when operated upon a highway must be equipped with a horn in good working order and capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 200 feet. However, the horn or other warning device must not emit an unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle. The driver of a motor vehicle shall, when reasonably necessary to insure safe operation, give audible warning with the horn, but shall not otherwise use the horn when upon a highway.

The fact the City of Eagan turns a blind eye to this clear violation of law does not make it legal or proper. I hope that this protest and the illegal use of horn does not result in someone getting killed there because they ignored a horn because of these protestors.

Good for thse folks, they are no different than the pro-life, pro-military etc demonstrators who exercise their freedom of speech through similar means. It's one of the great things about our country and what many people have died for. From the tone of other posters however, freedom of speech only applies to causes they agree with. Shame on you, there are valid reasons to question thewar in Iraq and considering ending the one in Afghanistan. Obama is wrestling with these issues right now. Lets pray he gets it right, but if he doesn't it won't be for lack of effort.
