Burnsville troop leader charged with molesting scouts

Now maybe some of you can see why we didn't want to allow homosexuals to become troop leaders.

If he is found guilty he should be put to death. Unfortunately MN likes to rehabilitate these types of people.

Why do "parents" continue to allow their children to spend time alone with Scout Leaders, coaches, priests, etc.
This happens way too often.

Stop dumping your kids off on these sick bastards and be an active parent.

Ditto on everything above. It's said when even scouting isn't safe anymore. Pretty soon, it will be a thing of the past.This just makes me sick!

I think scout leaders and priests need to answer if they are gay or not. This children need our protection from these deviant sinful homosexuals.

So if this was a female scout leader, you would be ok with it?! The issue isn't homosexual vs. straight. The issue is an adult abusing young children... homosexual, straight... doesn't matter. DON'T ABUSE THE KIDS.

Parents do dump and run way to much. They use these "activites" as a way to get away from being a parent. I know, I've been a scout leader and sunday school teacher most parents drop of their kids and go to a movie, dinner with mom, or to the bar for a couple of beers with the boys.

Scout rules are very strick on the two deep leadership. There was an obvious lapse on the part of the troop committee and the charter organization to monitor this key principal of scouter conduct.

Scouting is still safe. One apple does NOT spoil the bushel. Don't quit on the kids. Get involved.

why doe these accusers wait so long to come forward,I think it would be better and more creditable if they did,I am not saying it didn't happen but years later as the individual keeps doing what they were doing thinking they got away with it and they can do it again

It's funny every time they show a picture of these guys they always look like the biggest creepers but parents still let there kids go hang out with them. On looks alone I wouldn't let my kids near this molester.

There's been more reports of female school teachers having sex with students than of boy scout leaders molesting scouts. Maybe we should keep our kids home from school too?

You are right! United Way of Olmsted County is finding out that withholding charitible funds from Boy Scout Troops because they "don't" allow gay scout leaders backfired on them. They lost a lot of monetary contributions for this politically correct policy. A very good way to speak with your pocketbook!

We need to respect all people even the child molesters, that way we have tolerance and co-exist.

The molester was a gay or lesbian adult in fewer than 1% in which an adult molester could be identified – only 2 of the 269 cases (Jenny et al., 1994).
