Eagan teen found not guilty in stabbing death of Burnsville woman

Having served on a jury, it is very difficult to make an intelligent comment without having sat through all the evidence. I hope they eventually find the suspect and serve the justice that the victim deserves.

This is a complete failure of the system. How many people have to be slaughtered before somebody will put this brat away? Has anyone thought for two seconds about her little boy? I don't know how the defense lawyers and the newpaper reporters can live with themselves.

They have the suspect. The problem is they can't prove he's lying because the other "witness" is probably lying too. Poor police work here, I'm thinking evidence wasn't collected that should have been. If it had, there would be a clear suspect.

He's a brutal psychopath who'll kill again, and his defense attorney should be liable for civil damages when he does. If lawyers were subject to civil damages (like everyone else is) we'd have a much better criminal justice system.

Dakota County Attorney Jim Backstrom has had a horrible 2009. First he was Sanctioned, Censured and Fined by the State Supreme Court and Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board for threatening a witness not to testify in a murder trial. Then the US Department of Justice is no longer prosecuting medical marijuana cases And he lost another murder case due to questional tactics,such as withholding evidence for the defense. It's time Dakota County had a Prosecutor who spent more time in front of juries rather than televisions. Backstrom is beginning to look like and pile up the same losing record as the Prosecutor on Perry Mason. Let's make 2010 a good year by saying good bye to Backstom in next years election

Well. This is a tough one. I am not quite sure about the roommate. To be honest it almost sounds like the roommate knows much more than he is telling. I'd like to know if the garage door was open or closed when Pass showed up. If the attacks happened in the garage like the roommate claims, I'd like to know how come there was so much blood in the house that the officer had to tell the child to close his eyes as they went through it.

There was another article that said SanRoman had made it into the house and was sitting inside on the steps when the police arrived. That would explain the mess. I don't think that kid should keep his eyes closed anymore now that a bunch of morons let this monster walk.

Don't expect the Eagan police to watch him. They're useless.
