yes it is over and I will continue to offer what I can ( huting right for those that respect the land) and a pledge to the bigots that try to intimdate us because we grew up in different states
these are probably the same people that leave the rubbish in their front yards and drag the R E value of Vermont down
someday their neighbors/friends will realize that they are hurting progress and their own home values
a very similiar case to what Miller was doing to them

Just curious...The Orleans County Sherrif's Department has said in the paper and on Channel 3 news that Teddy doesn't work for them. He no longer works for Island Pond. Teh big question:

Who does he work for and is law enforcement part of hsi job? Is he a cotnracted rent-a-cop now?

No one ever said exactly what sort of job Miller now has.

It isn't just people in VT and from Vermont that leave rubbish all over their front yards. Get involved in a neighborhood clean-up. Green up day is coming up. Offer to help beautify the "hood." Be part of the solution.

Are the peopel being stopped speeding? That's what started the whole Teddy thing all along. If he were ticketing for things people were actaully doing, that would be different. It was that he was ticketing for things folks WEREN'T doing.

Winooski is an entirely different set of circumstances due to the traffic pattern, and high density of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. It's apples to oranges.

No. It's apples to oranges in the world of city and town planning which oversees a lot of the municipal aspects of the community. Compare another town similar to IP and it might make sense. These two towns have totally different infrastructure. I used to date a former mayor's brother--trust me I know Winooski!

There was no bitching about Teddy...YOU were bitching about Winosski. YOU moved on to Winooski...Again, there is no camparison to Island Pond at many levels. Let it go and drive safetly and within the law--like all of us did in Island Pond. That's the best we can do and hope that we won't get ticketed for being good drivers who don't speed, run through stop signs and obey the law...

Did you notice on Channel 3 news last night that Newport is doing a bag campain with its mercahnts to get folsk to come into the city and appreciate it (and be rewarded for doign so?)? Kind of like the Bucky Bucks I mentioned ealier to get folks to come to come back to Island Pond.... I'm finallky hoping to get there Sunday now that the weather has broken a bit. I'm takign the snow tires off the Saab today! It had better break!

There was plenty of Teddy bitching in previous posts by many including yourself. You went with the Winooski reference and I added factual comments. Just think if "everyone" obeyed the motor vehicle law in IP than there wouldn't be this blog. Like I said previously, let it rest and move on, if you can.
