Some brave troopers! For everything you may hear bad about officers, there are most certainly hundreds of good things we don't here about. In my opinion, you are all heros. Thanks for your dedication!

The standards for "hero" arent what they used to be.
This is pretty self-serving publicity.

I've always appreciated HP troopers in OK. So far every one I've encountered has been respectful and professional. I've never been stopped by one where I wasn't deserving.

If ever I see one in need of help, they've got mine.

Gregg from tulsa, Glad you were not in the fast food place, or the hostage held. You might have a different standard for hero.

Regarding the "self serving" comment:
Without taking anything away from our soldiers who serve abroad in hostile territory, many, many of them have never been targets of a high powered weapon. This trooper maintained his cool under direct fire and was able to disable and arrest the criminal. Thankfully, most of us will never have some one aiming and firing a high powered rifle at us. Thanks to those in law enforcement who are willing to put themselves in harms way to shield us from the most violent in our society.

What a jerk you are I sure hope that you remember this comment the next time you need help from law enforcement! These men and women put their lives on the line daily and this is the kind of respect you show them?

Yes, I'm sure the troopers saw the chance for "self-serving publicity" in the critical situations that they faced, as bullets sprayed all in his vehicle, he thought, "I bet I'm gonna get Trooper of the Year for Heroism for this one". And I'm sure they wrote the article in the paper themselves hoping to get publicity!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Libra

Someone is shooting from the hip today, making them irascible and all too liable to fly off the handle. Be very wary about provoking them into further outbursts, particularly where the vexed topics of money and sex are concerned. If you're trying to sort out a financial problem you will also be prone to losing your rag and banging your fist on the table. But will that help?
