He died. If he looked that bad, I can only imagine what the other 41 dogs that passed looked like....poor babies.

This is one of those things that makes you wish we punished people by doing to them what they did to their victimd- but even that isn't bad enough for this slug- those poor doggies didn't understand- I hope there's a special hell for prople who hurt animals and children.

Did you see that he will be allowed to keep his pets when he is bonded out today or tomorrow?!!! But his wife has to take care of them?!!! This gu is married??!!! And she let this go on too?? Why isn't she up on charges right along with him?? What kind of sick f%^&'s are these people. I knew I shouldn't have read the story. I can't handle sad animal stories so I really try to stay away but when I read the headline that he can keep his pets I had to read it. Someone should just wait outside the jail and pick this guy off when he's bonded out. Ugghh, this makes me sick to my stomach!!

46 times .29... hold on, I have to adjust for the massive fluctuations in the value of the dollar...

$13.34 will solve all this guy's problems. I'll do it for $2.98.

Of course, I'm going to let him starve for a while, first...

We could do like they did in the movie Seven. Where the dude was tied to the bed and starved to death but kept alive enough so he could feel it, for like a year or something!

will state that for the record that around town and to his family, Troy displayed as a great guy. As a coach, he may have had a terrible season, but you know he liked to coach and the kids. We all have stress. Yes he should be punished for the situation he has gotten himself into. Unfortunately, I wish people would walk in someone else's shoes in this type of predictament. As we do not know the issues or struggles that was in the present mind of Troy and his family for the dogs within his kennel. We need to now pray that he and his family finds the help he needs along with the peace with the judgement that will be handed to him by the courts - AND NOT the people passing judgement to him here on this message board. We all make mistakes, he showed great love to his family - so the rule he causes damage to people.... look at the dogs - we cannot generalize each situation. Please find some compassion, as this will be a lesson for him to learn the compassion that was lost when he cared for the dogs. The Stratton Community is just as shocked as the readers and viewers of 9NEWS and Denver Post. Please do consider there are more than one side as many journalists display. Yes those who knew this was going on should have stopped and prevented it. Also, they should prosecute those affiliated with the continuation of this as much as they are Troy, as they could have gotten help to him and the dogs! For additional thought, the kennels did not apply to the school... so why drag the school into and all the kids there? That is simply STUPID!! It is important to remember he has children enduring this just as much. Pray for him and his family - and the Stratton Community to heal, learn and move on from this horrific situation.

Sorry, he should have not allowed that to ever happen under any circumstance, it is inexcusable. He should have called rescues, human societies, the pound for crying out loud. He had a responsibility to helpless creatures that trusted him to care for them, instead he basically tourtured them. Starvation is tourture, it is inexcusable and I would be appalled if he were allowed to keep a job at the school if my child were there. I would yank her so fast the superintendent's head would do a 360. NOT a role model for children.

I feel sorry for his family if they truely didn't know what was happening, his kids are going to have a long road. His wife, if she knew, is just as guilty and should be held accountable as well. Completely dispicable and I can not see any reason anyone could come up with to excuse this kind of cruelty & tourture.

I am sorry, there are always options, if he knew he couldn't take care of these dogs he should have done the right thing and not let them starve to death. In my eyes is a POS no matter what you say.

BTW, Stratton resident, I'll admit I didn't read your whole post, I stopped at the passing judgement part, to me someone trying to defend a person like this is just as bad as doing the deed yourself.
His mistakes, he KILLED OVER 40 DOGS, that is more than a mistake!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
