Coudos to all law enforcement officials involved in this bust. It's great to see these people finally get what they deserve.

If you live in Malone and looked at the names, there were no surprises. The names are familiar, these are just more serious issues than usual. Selling crack - should be a life sentence since most people addicted to crack are basically dead anyway.

I've held contact with those arrested in Malone, minus Meagan and Adam, and I find it funny how everyone is calling them scum etc.

Think about it, it's faster money, welfare doesn't help. The only way welfare will help is if you're 18 and have 4 kids and walk them on the streets all hours of the night.

Secondly, those who I'm speaking of obviously had problems with the drugs they were dealing with. Tell me this: if you were in their position (and no need to say "well I wasn't") what would you do?

It's not so easy to walk away from harder drugs (i.e. crack, heroin).

I've met Megan. She's scum.

If you don't want to have a problem with crack and heroin, don't try them. It's as simple as that. Strangely, I've never felt tempted to try them. Maybe that's why I don't feel the need to sell them, either.

I agree. It's hard to get hooked on drugs if you don't try them. I've seen what it does to people I know so I stay away from them.

I used to live in Malone years ago. I knew one of those mentioned, in the article, from when I was involved in the minor hockey program. Back then, although he could be a handful, I saw a lot of good in him and he was always respectful to me. I was very disappointed when I read this story. His mother was a friend, and I am sorry for all that she is going through. I left Malone in 1982 to work for the state. It was a very nice town then. After reading a lot of the comments posted on this forum, it causes me to wonder what happened?

If you wanna call this a "problem," try looking elsewhere for the bigger drug issues.

How does he get away with all this?..i come to visit and see him around periodically, why hasnt the "victims" parents do something? I know if it WAS MY CHILD there would definately be some justice back yard style. Wait isnt he involved in another crime also from last year?..How did HE get out?

That is funny, because I heard that his ex girlfriend, Tiffany Shonyo is a huge narc...whenever she comes up here from Henrietta, there is usually a huge drug bust. Some how she always gets away with everything, including driving with out a license or insurance and getting into an accident with her children in the car. If that were anyone else they would get there children taken away from them and they would be in Jail until bail was posted.

Anyone dealing in junk in a sweet little town like this is scum. Why such a focus on who said what about who? When you're sitting in court, barely out of the haze, wondering how you got where you are, ask yourself how well the criminal code has done for you up until now.
There is a basic failing of church and state here, people. There seems to be very little concept of the rule of law, let alone any inkling of how much better life is when one abides by that. What's it going to take, 10- 20? How much different is life after something like that? Is life even possible, after something like that? Who are you, after something like that?
If it doesn't come from school, or church, or especially home, it has to come from somewhere, people. The question is, do you want your kids learning how to be criminals, or do you take the time and effort to raise them right? My guess is most of you don't have the slightest idea what I'm talking about. Very sad.
