Ponca City Group Sparks Controversy

Full story: News9 Oklahoma City

A Ponca City business owner has caught some criticism for a group he formed. The Daily Grind has been in business in Ponca City for 10 years, but lately it has become better known for the people who meet inside rather than the coffee and sandwiches.

Daily Grind just got a new customer! Me!! Who cares what group meets there! They have great food! I have Christian and non Christian friends that meet there regularly and will continue to do so! I dont go there as I live in Blackwell and don't like to drive to Ponca but I will now make a point to go there at least once a week!

Wow.I think that it is absolutely sad that the some of the people of our town feel threatened when others do not share their own personal beliefs whether it be religious or otherwise. I am shocked to hear that some members of our community would actually consider banning a business just because some of its patrons do not think they way that they do. This is America. If you want to try and control others based on your own personal belief system then maybe you should start your own cult so that everything fits the way you want it to.This way you will not have to be exposed to ideas other than your own.How is this group of people dangerous? Are the plotting a hostile world take over while they are eating their panini sandwiches and drinking their fancy coffee's and tea's. Maybe the next time I am at Walmart I will ask the cashier if they share my own personal beliefs about God and if not then I just won't buy anything from Walmart again. This story makes me want to vomit and actually makes me very sad that I live in such a closed minded town.Shame on you Ponca City.
OH PLEASE

Come on folks! Ever heard of making a mountain out of a mole hill? This is a free country, maybe if we all talked a little more and actually listened to each other rather than jumping to conclusions, knee jerk reactions and have to go either extreme left or extreme right, we might ALL get a long a little bit better.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Gemini

Maybe it's pre-Christmas tension but people can turn nasty in the blink of an eye today. This is especially likely if they've got a lot on their plate or they think they're very important, and you may have to treat them with kid gloves if you want to avoid getting sucked into a bad-tempered war of words. Some gentle humor may help to rescue the situation before it descends into acrimony.
