I was so disappointed with the fireworks. As were most people sitting around me. They were nice but so short. Sat and waited all that time, thru all the traffic etc just to see about ten minutes worth of fireworks.

At least our town has fireworks. Even though they went that long this year, they were still appreciated

People are so ungrateful. Monongahela is a little town trying to do its best with limited funds. Yeah Pittsburgh's fireworks probably are better but it is a huge city with more resources to put on a nice show. We should be thankful Monongahela had a showw at all. A lot of communities has nothing.

How about we take Kepic's ghetto cruiser away from him, sell it, and use the money for town improvements?

The rumor on the street is that the chamber spent close to $8,000 this year for the festivities. Unfortunately they were only able to raise a quarter of that through donations. It seems like thousands of people came down to watch them however they couldn't even give up a dollar to donate. That is sad.

If the Chamber would check around, they would be able to get a show that would be better and longer for half the amount they paid for this years show. Believe me I know, i've checked into it before.

What does city hall have to do with the City's Chamber of Commerce? Watching Inside Edition or more words of wisdom from Jacko?
You should team up with those who spend all day in front of The Bees Nest, you can practice staring at the women that walk by.

This years fire works did suck. We used to have the best show out of the small towns. What happened. I agree, you can pay less and get a bigger show if you just do some research, I have done it. I would like to see the bill for the fireworks cause if they paid 8,000 like they say they did they got ripped off, personally i dont really think they paid that.

BAN THE BANG. READ UP PEOPLE! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY, THAT COULD BE USED FOR SOMETHING WORTHWHILE ... Shocking Education: http://www.looking-glass.co.uk/campaigns/bant... How much 'fun' are noisy fireworks, when the destruction they cause is harmful. Go GREEN. Skip the bang, and do/LEARN something worthwhile!

Shame on you who whine and complain on this site about the fireworks. If you think that you can personally bring a better fireworks display to the town of Monongahela then get off your ass and do something about it. It amazes me the number people who complain about things yet do nothing to make things better. Go visit our neighboring communities and see what type of display they offered on the 4th. I am sure that it wasn't not nearly as good as Monongahela's display hence the size of the crowd watching the display.
