A 20-year-old woman has been charged with felony carnal knowledge of a 16-year-old juvenile, Natchitoches police reported.

The Natchitoches Police Department responded to a disturbance on Howard Street in Natchitoches where two people were arguing in the street, according to a news release.
An investigation determined there was a sexual relationship between a 16-year-old male juvenile from Alexandria and a 20-year-old woman from Winnfield, the release states. Natchitoches detectives arrested Amber Collum, 20, of Winnfield on one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, police said. She was released on $10,000 bond.

Released on bond?? And I suppose the Judge will recommend that the 16 yr old juvenile should recieve therapy...HA...He wasn't in Natchitoches for no reason. He knew what he was doing also, and what he would recieve once he got there. Every young mans dream...an older woman!!

Whoever they were visiting in Natchitoches should be questioned also if they were allowing that. But the 16 year old knew what he was doing.

It's a four year difference geez...I seriously doubt she molested the boy.... I'm sure within a day this board will be covered with things about their family just because people have nothing better to do than talk about people. She screwed up big deal, how many 20 years old don't screw up???

I personally don't see a problem here. The boy has probably had sex every girl in the school he attends and if I was 16 and had a 20 year old woman, i would be in hog heaven. Besides, there is only 4 years difference and we don't know how close he is to being 17 which would make it legal. On another note, if the girl looks half as good as Lisa, then you certainly can't blame the boy. That's just my opinion and I expect a lot of negative feedback so let er rip.

I don't think the 16 yr old was forced. Maybe the parents didn't approve of the relationship. I have teenage boys and even though I wouldn't approve o the relationship I'm sure my teenager wouldn't listen to me and sneek around with the older person. But if I spoke to the 20 yr old and told her how I felt and she still persued the relationship I would get a restraining order. If she still kept seeing him I would then have her arrested because she must want to be locked up!

I am sure that this kid was not "riding" for the first time but it is still illegal. The truth is, kids of 16 do not have any business out "riding around" as they are not capable of accepting the consequences of their actions. That IS why we have laws and for you to say that he was maybe only a few months away from 17 and legal, that it is no big deal, is just irresponsible.

We must make sure that our children learn to obey the laws. If they don't like the laws then they can become a part of the political system to change them.

I know its a boys thing to have a older woman. No I really don't have much to say about it expect knowing that now she taught him a thing or two. I just do not understand what these older women see in these kids.
