Cool
What are your job duties and approximately how much does the job pay? How do you become an Editor? I don't see any openings in the Topix Job postings just a listing for an Excecutive Editor. I love participating in these forums and would like to look into becoming an Editor. Or maybe someone from Topix can post a message on how one can apply for this position and job description.

Thank You

Everyone posting on this forum has no life.
Do you really think gangs are a serious problem in lake havasu? If you do you need a reality check. I believe atrocities of much greater magnitude are taking place on this earth than silly kids being kids and egging a car. tell me about gangs after you have visited Rwanda to see all of the child soldiers. They have real guns. And actually kill and rape people. Yes, so hard to imagine. In fact, reading everyones posts on this forum makes me sick.:] so evryone hre and everyone in lake havasugo get a life. And thanks evryone posting you made my boring ass precalc class go a little faster. If only I didn't have fuktards in my class like all of you.

So some kids get bored, give the group of friends they're hanging with anyway a name, deface some school property and egg a couple of cars, and that's a gang? Please. Way to scar some young kids for life before they even had a chance to start.
Twenty years ago, they would have been reprimanded in house. Probably given some community service time. Not this. Why are you so afraid of your children, America?
I have no problem with it

The biggest gang in Havasu carry guns and badges and act with impunity from punishment. From the case of the girl who was molested by a cop and he was allowed to quit and no charges were filed and the whole thing was buried to a LT selling coke to a former mayor, to the judge who was a cop showing up to the bench late and drunk nearly everyday.

Since I first posted in the LHC section of this website, I've read a lot about this town. Most of it is op-ed stuff by individuals, with a lot of un-cited references. But if even half of this is true, then holy sheet. This place deserves what it gets.

Havasu is already in jeapordy of many summer visitors not coming this year due to the Police and Judicial situation. I have read on many boating sites that there is a possible memorial day boycott in the works to protest the speed trap mentality of Havasu and it money hungery Judge.
first off i am not a police kind of guy, i do not call them, i do not like the way they do there jobs, however, i live on the river, and see many accidents due to boaters coming from calif, drinking is the problem. the river is full of boats, and there is no room for drunk boaters. early in the morning they come up and down the river drinking, and having accidents. just slow down when you see someone. for big boats, go to the lake. this river isnt big enough for some of the boats that come here. we want you folks to come here, and we want you to have fun. just remember, there will be an accident, someone is going to be killed if we dont watch out for others. have a designated driver, and let that driver do the driving. just be carefull folks and have fun..........

Dinah, I agree with you completely. Laws like this should be passed. You should get with the law makers in your area and voice your concerns.

Sorry. I don't agree with this line of thinking. Just because you are bored doesn't mean you have to STAY bored. If you have any sense of right and wrong and brains between your ears you can always find something to do without joining a gang.
While I believe that it is the parent's responsibility to see to it that kids have things to do, I think it is simply trying to pawn off one's personal responsibility on others to excuse joining a gang with 'Well, I was bored.'
(Now 19 haha) You misunderstood. I wasn't condoning it, I was saying what the truth behind it was. Kids got bored, and seperated into a couple groups of 4-5, calling themselves bloods and crips. One side sporting red one sporting blue. Each group threw up their "gang's" sign, and that's pretty much all they did at the time of that post. Personally, I thought it was just stupid, like most of what I see, listen to, or hear about going on around town. I mean, I get bored, but I'm not stupid, and I don't try to show off or act like the boss...I'd rather watch.
