Sounds good to me. We're talking about someone who tried to have sex with a child. They don't deserve second chances, and I have no problem making them physically incapable of attempting such a thing.

As a mother, I don't feel that it's barbaric to go to such extremes to protect an innocent child. If a grown man thinks it's okay to have sex with a child, he shouldn't be able to have sex at all.

Remember, not everyone accused of a crime actually did it, and although the number of instances appears small, police are not above planting/fabricating evidence for a variety of reasons (including publicity). I'm not saying that was necessarily the case, but we should all wait for the process to play itself out in the courts. If we proceed as many of you suggest, then the easiest way for your enemies to have you castrated or killed would be to plant a few choice gifs on your hard drive (not at all difficult), or simply email them to you--whether you open it or not it is then in your possession and these good people would demand YOUR BLOOD! Think about it.

On a side note, it's alarming how we as a nation now actually condone torture, etc., if it is associated with a hot button such "children" or "terrorism".

just to put my 2 cents in but does anyone realize that this guy has a wife and a 3 month old son??? does anyone wonder how they are handling all of this.

This is a terrible crime. Thank God it was a police sting and not an actual child who received this email. But there is a child that will suffer for this, his 3 month old child and his wife. While we can all be insensed by his actions,please keep his innocent family in your prayers.
