Obviously! Its near Lakin, but to rephrase the question, why don't those who live in Lakin, Deerfield, Holcomb, GC seem to care about its demise?

Listen up MORON!!! I'm the greatest Finney County Commissioner who ever held the office and this is the reason why NOBODY EXCEPT A COMPLETE IDIOT GIVES A CRAP ABOUT LAKE MCKINNEY!!! I didn't think of it! Instead I pissed away about a jillion dollars on Horse Thief Reservior so we could have a little water maybe some of the time. But hey, my name is now included on the Garden City High School Hall of Fame so I MUST BE RIGHT!!!!!

This is a feasibility study done about two years ago offering 2 options for the lake. I don't know where the situation stands currently Copy and paste into your search engine. kwo.org/KWO Programs and Projects/Rpt_01_SWE McKinneyReport_Final.pdf

Wow I'd like to shake your hand!! When my family were residents of Lakin, we should have realized we had no business keeping a new cabin cruiser on Lake McKinney for silly things like water skiing, boating and swimming to break the monotony of life in such a rural community. Thanks to your leadership, people from Lakin probably watch tv and play checkers for kicks during the summer.
