Let's clarify your misconceptions, It is not just up to the parents. OCGA 3-3-23 which outlines alcohol use by persons under the age of 21. The parents of a person under 18 may allow their child to drink alcohol, in their own home, with the parents present. Not at a friends house with parents permission, not at your friends house whith your parents there, not if your 18, 19, or 20 years old, not if your home alone and your parents say it's ok.
I have advocated a drinking age of 18 for various reasons, however the juvenile attitudes here seem to push my opinion more toward a higher drinking age. A few of the younger posters here spoke intelligently about the punishment and consequenses of the party goers and lifted my hopes this generation was moving forward.
But recently it seems that the retards have gotten hold of computer lab at school and are quickly dragging our better children down. As soon as Alec, Mr. Man, who cares, and their little crew mature a little they may see that their attitudes are the reason we can't seem to trust young people, they may realize they are the problem.

The immaturity on this topic is scary. It's scary that kids like Alec are 16 and able to drive. This is the same kid that would probably cry like a two year old if someone he was close to got hit by some underage punk driving home drunk. Sadly, that stuff happens everyday. Maybe he should focus more on his running and less time showing his ignorance and immaturity on the internet.
