It amazes me that people believe that our enemies should be entitled to the same constitutional rights as Americans. Men and women fighting to protect our rights are now expected to protect the rights of those trying to kill them. In combat situations, should soldiers be required to start documenting events so that they can present their case at a future trial? Maybe we should have attorneys assigned to every combat unit to help them collect the necessary evidence.

Combat situations are not the same as police trying to apprehend criminals. Our soldiers are trained to destroy the enemies of this nation, not act as policemen of the world. If they fail in their mission, then you can kiss your habeas corpus rights goodbye.

We need to support our military and give them the tools they need to do their job successfully. Requiring them to prove that their enemies "violated some law and committed some crime" is ridiculous.

Our freedom is a model for others to follow, but that freedom doesn't come without a price. There are people in this world who desire nothing more than to take away our freedom, and the recent Supreme Court decision only plays into the hands of our enemies. We should support our troops instead of supporting decisions that tie their hands.
