I came here to topix on my lunch hour to find that there are all of the sudden NO posts about your fight with time warner since SATURDAY!?!?!?!?

Considering that there were about 40 topics here last night, I find it interesting that people who claim to be "connected" would resort to such censorship.

Were you expecting a love fest and people to support you saying that you are in the right?

Was it inconceivable to you that people might actually look at you as bullies who spend more time trying to get people to switch through a back-room deal with Dish, than actually giving facts and negotiating with TW in good faith?

Way to go...you are eroding the small support base that you have left even further!

WGRZ morning news and WKBW at noon were both very good, thanks WIVB for the chance to check them out. Lisa Scott's rock garden and Victoria Hong will NOT be missed. I'm sticking with Time Warner and I could care less about WIVB.

I can get along just fine without WIVB, CW23. I'm able to watch episodes online and through Canadian channels. You tube also has many episodes as well. Stay off Time Warner for all I care.

I'm a LIN employee (WIVB's corporate owners, who forced this situation to a head). I'm glad when censorship is used to eliminate gawdawful racist comments and other really offensive posts.

But I'm ASHAMED that censorship has removed the threads criticizing LIN for their tactics. Absolutely ASHAMED!!! Yeah, some of the criticism was from yahoos and contained ridiculous mistakes, but a lot of it was from right angry viewers.

I can get along more than comfortably without WIVB for the next 35 years or so.
Every major network show is played ad nauseum on various cable channels, like the CSI's on Bravo, and NCIS on USA. wait 5 minutes and you'll see last weeks show.
Down here in Wellsville we can't get ANY channels without cable.. sorry weve tried antennas, and its useless. As far as WIVB is concerned no one south of Elma exists anyway, unless its to show a drug bust in Jamestown.
WIVB doesn't have the interest of the local population at heart.
It is outrageous that LIN TV which is a minor broadcasting company at best is able to hold up cable viewers to line their pockets. YOu will notice that LIN has outlets in such metropolises as Dayton Ohio, or Springfiled Mass. These are NOT major markets. They figure the yokels from hick towns like Buffalo will just bend over for them.
So long WIVB.. you couldn't PAY me to watch you again..
I hope your station goes black and you all end up on the unemployment lines.

Wow, my post from this a.m. disappeared, also. All I stated is that it makes you wonder if LIN Broadcasting struck a deal with DISH, since they are the only ones being advertised for service, along with their phone number, etc. Kinda makes you wonder......

I think I replied to your post earlier. Maybe Jeff's comprehensive email list and this link caused the censoring.:)

It seems LIN TV is "EDUCATING" us.

I'm done with WIBV. Don't need them. Channel 2 is fine, actually almost better. They have live lottery at 11PM and the morning crew is just as good if not better. The Bill's game came in beautifully on my neighbors dish network and we shared it outside on a 60" projection along with a few beers. By the way, I'm not paying Time Warner until this is over either. I've been thinking of dumping them anyways, so here's my opportunity. I'll be unsubscribing from this web-site after today so i won't have to see their advertising either. Check out WGRZ's site. It's pretty good.

LOL I'm going to take a guess that their advertisers started opening their emails this morning and WIVB is getting an earfull. ;)

Hey everyone: This is not just a Lin TV issue. This is happening all across the country - actually most of these deals get done well before they become public. This is also not just a local WIVB issue either... as far as WGRZ and WKBW are concerned, their time is coming... currently they are sitting on the sidelines cheering on WIVB.

Then somebody somewhere has to try to stop it, let's be the people who at least try.

I saw my TW bill, in it there is a charge for local stations. Really? So Time Warner IS ACTUALLY charging customers like me for local stations - yet they don't feel they have to pay the local stations? Some of you can vow to never watch Channel 4 again, but frankly I think Channel 4 is the BEST TV station that we have for news and entertainment and I want it back because I AM ALREADY PAYING TW FOR IT!!!!

Hey, you know what? 40 threads got removed, create 400 of them...

They remove those 400, create 4000...

Called the Barbara Streisand effect.

For a bunch of people that don't care about Channel 4 leaving, you sure are pissed off about it.
