Family Court Judge Kevin M Carter in Erie County

Believe it or not...So far So Good with Judge Carter..seems like a man who is using reason and thinking things through..I guess we'll see but to date, have no complaints..(knock on wood)

I feel horrible for you. My advice is to work it out with your ex out of court. There are no winners in Family Court and Carter is such a loose cannon I wouldnt put it past him to take the kid (or kids) away from you both!
He is extremely pro-father too so if your going in there thinking because your the mom you have all the advantages, your dead wrong. The only thing I can say is-DONT GO!!! Settle out of court or find a way to get a new judge. But you dont want Judge Bailey either, shes an old hag. Good luck, your gonna need it!!

Thats probably because there have been a group of us that complained about him to the Judicial Review Board, he is on high alert that he is about to be exposed. But im glad its helping your case, good luck!

Take it from someone who has been dealing with the Erie County family court system for almost 20 years, Do NOT expect fair treatment from those people, no matter who you are. Do NOT expect the merits of your case to be of any concern to that court.

That entire effing building is corrupt. They look out FOR THEMSELVES, period.

Let's face facts, two sides to every story and I'll bet a year of paychecks that you're no angel so get off the soapbox.

Based on my personal experience with that court and that of several other men the bias you allege goes the other way. If you are male you are guilty, sit down, shut up and when the court is ready for your opinion they will give it to you.

My advice for ANYONE dealing with Erie County family court is to keep them OUT of your business because they will bring you only misery. Whether you are the mother looking to bash your ex and make him pay or you are the father and the mother of your children has been on the cover of Crack Whore Magazine ten times it makes no difference, don't expect to get what you want from them. Keep your squabbles out of that building or you WILL be sorry. You (male or female) should get an attorney and your ex do the same. Meet with your attorneys at their offices OUTSIDE OF COURT and settle your differences there.

I know, 95% of you will not heed this warning and go on the family court power trip anyway. Once you have been through that grinder a couple of times you will BOTH wise up and go the attorney/out of court route.

Be glad it isn't the old bloated idiot Judge ODonnell..he is now torturing criminal/civil ct...a judge like most..all ego.. no knowledge..short temper!
Just tell Carter you remember when he practiced ciminal law..that should scare his dumb ass.

He is a useless fifth leg. Tonto, his side kick, threatens and runs. Also makes may mistakes while being paid top dollar. Color has a great deal to do with furnishing a room. Not with dispensing equal rights.

You know who is really a a##wi## is Judge Daniel Grasso. He does not even have a basic understanding of simple rules of evidence for the admission of business records. In his practice as a private attorney recently, he messed up an appeal for his client because the issue was not preserved. He knows less than a third year law student!

research away... in my group alone there have been 4 people adversely affected by his decisions... one even occurred while he was a law guardian. He left child with abusive father... that child ended up incarcerated and til this day is not emotionally right! Only 1 of the 4 is a man...With the man the woman moved out of area w/o prior permission of HIS court order... He let her stay... and dismissed father's petition... Both parents were black... In another case couple was white... mom wanted to relocate with her fiance (together for 15 years) and he refused... father ended up killing someone drunk driving (which mother had alleged--he was an alcoholic)and that is the only reason she got her daughter back... in another situation child stayed in foster care 81 days after mother returned home from being in jail...(atypical since moms/dads who got to jail and the only reason that child ended in foster care is because JUDGE CARTER refused to let 4-5 FAMILY MEMBERS TO RETRIEVE CHILD FROM OUT OF STATE!!! YOUR TAX DOLLARS PAID FOR THAT!... AND proceeded to keep male child in foster care for 81 days! forcing mom to plead to an adjournment with contemplation of dismissal ACD... which she did in order to get son back after all those days... MIND YOU there was NO COURT MENU GIVEN TO MOM... no JUSTIFICATION to keep child in care... They put child on PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, DAY CARE ASSISTANCE, AND GAVE FOSTER CARE MOM (A SINGLE MOM) FOSTER CARE PAYMENTS...YET THERE WERE 4 PETITIONS BY HIS GRANDFATHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND TWO AUNTS... all here to retrieve child from foster care and it was a CIRCUS!!! HE dismissed all the petitions including under grounds that one of child's aunts was IN A GAY RELATIONSHIP!!!! SERIOUSLY?... PLEASE DON'T VOTE FOR THIS MAN... OR IF YOU DO BE READY TO DESTROY MORE FAMILIES, CHILDREN, BUILD MORE JAILS ETC..... AND IN THE PROCESS REMEMBER TO VOTE JUDGE BAILEY OUT IN 2013 IF HER BUTT DARES TO STAY ANOTHER 10 YEARS... HER OLD BUTT NEED TO GO SOMEWHERE WITH HER WICKED SELF... 6 YEARS UNDER HER CORRUPTION. We need to be careful who we vote in these offices!!! sErious corruption...

how do you know this? and if they opened it up how come its not still under investigation? They should still be under investigations, but I guess that is why the corruption continues because all these rat bastards know that nothing is going to happen to them!!!
