Can you believe it?? I'm switching to WGRZ!!!

What's the skinny? Newscasters are shuffled away without a whisper. Did she ask for a raise or are they blaming her for this lousy weather?

No- there was a chance they were gonna cut someone after Lisa Scott. But I thought it would be Lindsay Schwarzwaelder, she's lower seniority. That's the way that business is- one day you show up and find out you're no longer employed.

Cost cutting measure for sure! Its sad because Mary Beth was good at what she did. But what I can't get is why WIVB in the morning has to have a weather forecast every 5 minutes? and at night why do ALL of the three channels have to spend a third of the broadcast to tell us simply whats it going to be like TOMORROW and all that. I could care less whats going on poopshoot nebraska...or if the east coast is being hit by rain..WHO CARES????

Channel 4 is going down the tubes. They keep shit-canning the best talent and keeping the mediocre. What gives? Are their sales so dismal they have to keep doing this? Why don't they revamp the sales department? Lindsay and Joe Arena had less seniority than Lisa Scott, Ellen Maxwell, Mary Beth Wrobel and Rob Macko. I'm switching to WGRZ also!

You could recruit the best salespeople in the world and it wouldn't make a huge difference.

Companies are tightening their belts right now and can't afford to advertise, as they did prior to the "recession."

New owners of WIVB want their own people no matter what. Since they can't be reached for contact, it's clear they want their own choices without regard to the community they serve. Loved your no-BS weather forecast, MB! Others around the country should follow your style. Good luck.

Here is an idea. Why not get rid of Joe Arena? I can't stand Wake Up because every single time he is on, he seriously is shouting the news. Does he know how to talk in a normal voice instead of being 6 levels above everyone else??

Channel 2 it is for me full time now. Here is an idea. How about Channel 2 pick up MB and put her on weekends along with Autumn. They would be able to promote having 4 meterologists and the best full time weather staff. Sounds like something Channel 4 did when Lindsay was hired a couple of years ago.

They should use the extra money to update their weather equipment. 2 minutes ago Mike just said that there is no chance of rain in all of wny for the morning commute. Well it's raining over here!!! You know, at first it was funny...them never getting the weather right. It was a joke. Now it's plain frustrating. I love how their forecasts are wrong 99% of the time, but when they luck out and get a forcast right, they boast about how their weather station is sooo accurate. They can take that weather center and shove it up their own asses. I'm switching over to channel 7.

For the record ...MB isn't Mylous's type...he was at Shea's for a show with his gf...totally different..but pretty.

Mary Beth was responsible for a lot of bad weather, more so than most forecasters. On the plus side, she makes excellent cookies and should open a bakery.

Lindsay is on the air a lot, and contributing much to WIVB. Lindsay has excellent credentials, is doing an excellent job for the station, and is getting excellent ratings. Lindsay is very visible on the station, participating in numerous airings, and that's the bottom line. You have to earn your keep these days more than ever, and Lindsay certainly is. Corporations all over the country are shifting employees around, laying off people, and making changes. This unfortunate occurance is a by-product of the economy. No one likes seeing it happen, but when it does happen, the people who are the best team players, the most willing to truly earn their pay, and do best for their employer, are the ones who survive.
