I was at Lasalle Park the other day with my children we haven't been there in years, since they us to do the best fire works show( that friendship festival is missed so much their!!!). However the park was nice near the water but when we went to cross through the park the grass was so tall it was unconfortable to stroll, we were hiking or more like marching. So I agree that more time should be put into all of our parks. Please and Thank you from a tax payer of Buffalo

The parks are under county care. All the city parks look like crap and I dont even bother going to them anymore. They are disgusting.

Instead of complaining about the parks, DO SOMETHING about it! Maybe you can watch your children so that they DON'T pollute the area with dirty diapers and clothes. Maybe the park utilizers could also police the park themselves on a daily basis since THEY are the ones who use it. If EVERYONE policed their own garbage, no one would have anything to complain about.

Perhaps insteading of complaining about the garbage, some of the parents who enjoy the splash park could bring some gloves and garbage bags to ecome a part of the solution to the problem. With the economy in the state it's in the resources are no longer available for many of the amenities to which we were acustomed. I'm grateful that there is a free place where children can cool off on a warm day.

Most of the dirty diapers are left there by single mothers
Single mothers are all on welfare. The government provides everything else for them and their illegitimate children, so they also expect the government to clean up after them.

This one is just as dumb as the rest. Why don't you get off your computer and take a nap.

Trash strewn about is usually due to people littering. Pretty simple to diagnose but difficult to fix among people who have no civic pride. I like to say "trash litters". People who lack civic pride and decency, who ignore the law and are too lazy to walk to the garbage can thus preventing litter are to me trash themselves. But alas it's not always the case. Along the waterfront the frequent strong wind will lift trash out of the garbage can if it is open or too full. Dogs and raccoons also dig through the garbage. It's not always people but it usually is.

To Life Coach: For your information not all single Mother's are on Welfare. DO NOT assume that all single Mothers are on Welfare. I am a single Mother and I worked and raised my child all by myself,my child is a Adult now and she is working everyday and she has 1 child. We both do not live around Buffalo, it doesn't matter where you live. We both take care of our garbage properly where the garbage belong in the garbage can!! If I were you I would watch what you say about single Mothers and being on welfare, not every single Mother are on welfare, some has jobs to go to and not only the job they have a job taking care of their child to along with work. There are single Father's raising their child and not once did you mention about single Father's. And another thing it takes two to make a child so do not go blaming everything on the Single Mother. And their are both Parents raising their child. In my OPINION everyone should put their garbage where it belongs, not on the ground or on the streets,etc...!! NOONE should point their fingers on anyone!!!!!! I am so glad that I don't live in or around Buffalo, for people like you point fingers and assume its Single Mothers or whomever. No matter where you live you see garbage around everywhere so it's not only in the Parks, water Parks,etc...!!! End of discussion!! Live Somewhere in Chautauqua County

Actually I am white (not that it matters), I am married and I work full time. I have never been on welfare or food stamps. I am a college graduate and I am educated, unlike yourself.

Most of the comments I make about illegitimate children are my statements. Some people in here want to make everything a race issue, when it is really an issue of childen growing up without fathers What made you and your daughter decide that it woould be a good idea to chave children when you were not married? Were they mistakes?

But 100% of the time it is a mistake for an unwed mother to keep her illegitimate child. Illegitimate children should be put up for adoption so they can be raised in a normal family with a married mother and father

Sometimes being raised by a single mother is better than being raised by two parents who hate each other.

Boasting of how she always wanted a dining room table and now she got one. So now she can seat all of her 6 kids. excuse me, eho told you to go and have 6 kids? If you can't properly take care of them or even have a dayam table to set them at: STOP HAVING KIDS THAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD AND THEN EXPECT EVERYONE ELSE TO PROVIDE FOR THEM. AND WOULD YOU "MOTHERS" OUT THERE TEACH YOUR KIDS (AND YOURSELVES) WHAT THE HECK A GARBAGE CAN IS FOR? DIAPERS ON THE GROUND? YOU PIGS. PUT IT IN A DAYAM GARBAGE CAN YOU SLOBS. AND DON'T GO ON TV AND COMPLAIN THAT THE CITY ISN'T KEEPING YOUR PARKS AND EMPTY LOTS CLEAR OF TRASH AND GARBAGE. USE GARBAGE CANS AND THERE WON'T BE GARBAGE LYING AROUND. IDIOTS!
