****** Agree. The Chief Justice has called this a tax. That means exactly what the word defines. Taxes will go up for everyone in the trillions. No one is getting anything for nothing in spite of what some people believe. Nothing is free! All of us old enough to understand even a little bit of how government works know this. Medical aid as in health care will be rationed and decided by bureaucrats sitting around a table deciding if you are worthy or not of the treatment your doctor recommends. If these non-medical government hired agents decide you are not worth it, you will be denied. Case in point: a local pediatrician was treating a little girl for a broken arm. Not your typical cracked bone, but a complicated double fracture with splinters. He determined she needed a special type cast which costs twice that of an average cast for a simple break. The government insurance agent decided that it cost too much for this type of cast and he should just treat her with a typical style cast. In other words, they went against the pediatrician's warning that this is not in his patient's best interest. And certainly not in her best interest for her broken bones to heal properly. Denied again. This is what you get with socialized medical care. Those of you who do not have the health care you think you will get with the Obamacare, and who are hoorahing right now are in for a big surprise. |

Ya, 3.6% profit margin is "screwing us". The high cost of insurance though, why not lay blame where it's due? The feet of the politicians who pass laws restricting competition. Competition is what drive innovation and lowers prices. Government laws don't allow me to buy an insurance plan I like, at a lower price, if it's across state lines. If I don't want to have part of my premium pay for acupuncture, well too bad, the gov't says I have to pay it. I can't use pre-tax dollars for my premium payments either, unlike businesses that supply insurance benefits for their employees. And if the government would pass "loser pay" tort reform, we'd see a big drop in insurance AND health care prices over night. So..who exactly is screwing us again? Long before the Justice Department had appointed Fitzgerald, it knew who had leaked to Novak. Early in the investigation, deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage informed investigators that he had told Novak about Mrs. Wilson (although he left out the fact that he had also leaked to the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward). But like the savvy bureaucratic infighter that he is, Armitage kept quiet publicly, allowing the vice president’s office to take the heat for something he had done. Libby was convicted b/c he crossed up the dates of where and when and exactly what he told who. He never actually committed any crime other than not remembering accurately enough the information of what happened what, over a year or two before being questioned about it. That's a far cry from Holder knowingly lying to congress and then seeking to keep any and all documents that prove he KNOWINGLY lied from becoming public. Actually, the majority of the Chamber of Commerce members are small businesses. Small businesses employ over half the workers in this country, and account for more than 60% of the job growth we are having. Obamacare is going to force most if not all of the businesses to cut benefits or increase the costs, or just drop the health benefits they do offer all together. Oh, Obamacare is still unconstitutional. As is Obama's choosing what laws to enforce or not enforce, passing new laws through executive fiat (the dream act for one) etc...but if Congress and the American people don't care enough to stand up for the basic limits of government power, then this country is toast anyway. With the Arizona immigration law ruling, the Supreme Court upheld everything that Arizona had passed as Constitutional. Only that those laws ALREADY EXIST on the Federal level, and so there was no need to be redundant. Of course, since Obama is choosing to ignore Federal Law, well, they might as well not be there to begin with. If you can not see the danger in individuals, elected or otherwise, choosing which laws to enforce or ignore-instead using the legal process in place to change the laws, then you willful blindness is spooky. |

Ya, well, "WakeUp" three times I tried to post federal law re: the unconstitutional suing of the state of Arizona or any other state that upholds illegal immigration under federal laws - and all laws pertaining to the violations that are taking place across the country, protecting illegal aliens in this country. Rather than expect anyone to believe it, I posted the links to prove it under FindLaw, and three times it didn't last longer than a few minutes on here and it was deleted. By whom? I don't know. There are a lot of missing posts if you look at the numbers. Someone is censoring and that is plain wrong. All I can say is if you really want to know how illegal all this protectionism for illegals is you will have to look it up yourself. It's not allowed on here.

Another Obama historical moment. Obama and the democrats have constantly claimed that Obamacare was not a tax. The Supreme Court Justices had to rename Obamacare as a tax so that it would stand Constitutionally. Wait. The Supreme Court Justices had to alter a law so as to uphold that law as Constitutional. Think about that for a moment. Obama claimed the law had a penalty provision. The Supreme Court Justices ruled that was not Constitutional so they had to CHANGE the core of the law and make it a tax so that it would be legal.
Land of the free? Not anymore. Kiss our country's ass goodbye. It's official. We all, every man, woman and child in the United States of America, are now, by force, on a government program of which we, the tax payers are forced to fund, and have now plunged into the "won't bite the hand that force feeds us" category. Job security for the democrats. How many of those democrat politicians are willing to stand behind this law they have forced on Americans and participate fully in Obamacare for themselves and their families? Not one. Not one single democrat politician. Not one. |

****** You said that very well. We all know that when we purchase something we have to pay taxes on it. Now we will all be taxed for NOT buying something. Now that a precedent has been set, there is no end to which they can tax us if they demand something needs to be purchased and we do not wish to purchase it - a penalty being unconstitutional - then they will initiate a tax and we will be force-fed more baloney. This has only just begun. |

1 The Obama administration has almost certainly engaged in the most shockingly vile corruption scandal in the history of the country. Administration officials intentionally put guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, so that when the guns taken from Mexican crime scenes turned out to be American guns, Democrats would have a reason to crack down on gun sellers in the United States. Democrats will never stop trying to take our guns away. But since their party was thrown out of Congress for the first time in nearly half a century as a result of passing the 1994 "assault weapons ban," even liberals know they were going to need a really good argument to pass any limitation on guns ever again. So it's curious that Democrats all started telling the same lie about guns as soon as Obama became president. In March 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced to reporters on a trip to Mexico: "Since we know that the vast majority, 90 percent of that weaponry (used by Mexican drug cartels), comes from our country, we are going to try to stop it from getting there in the first place." As she sentimentally elaborated on Fox News' Greta Van Susteren show: "The guns sold in the United States, which are illegal in Mexico, get smuggled and shipped across our border and arm these terrible drug-dealing criminals so that they can outgun these poor police officers along the border and elsewhere in Mexico." Suddenly that 90 percent statistic was everywhere. It was like the statistic on women beaten by their husbands on Super Bowl Sunday. CBS' Bob Schieffer asked Obama on "Face the Nation": "It's my understanding that 90 percent of the guns that they're getting down in Mexico are coming from the United States. We don't seem to be doing a very good job of cutting off the gun flow. Do you need any kind of legislative help on that front? Have you, for example, thought about asking Congress to reinstate the ban on assault weapons?" At a Senate hearing, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said: "It is unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico and used to shoot judges, police officers and mayors ... come from the United States." And then, thanks to Fox News -- the first network to report it -- we found out the 90 percent figure was complete bunkum. It was a fabrication told by William Hoover, of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF), and then spread like wildfire by Democrats and the media. Mexican law enforcement authorities send only a fraction of the guns they recover from criminals back to the U.S. for tracing. Which guns do they send? The guns that have U.S. serial numbers on them. It would be like asking a library to produce all their Mark Twain books and then concluding that 90 percent of the books in that library are by Mark Twain. You begin to see why the left hates Fox News so much. The left hates the truth. |

1 Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters that even if the percentage is inaccurate, the "vast majority" of guns seized in crimes in Mexico come from the United States.(And he should know, because it turns out he was sending them there!) This was absurd. Most of the guns used by drug cartels are automatic weapons -- not to mention shoulder-fired rockets -- that can't be sold to most Americans. They are acquired from places like Russia, China and Guatemala. Right about the time the 90 percent lie was unraveling, the Obama administration decided to directly hand thousands of American guns over to Mexican criminals. Apart from the fact that tracking thousands of guns into Mexico is not feasible or rational, the dumped guns didn't have GPS tracing devices on them, anyway. There is no conceivable law enforcement objective to such a program. This is what we know: (1) Liberals thought it would be a great argument for gun control if American guns were ending up in the hands of Mexican criminals; (2) They wanted that to be true so badly, Democrats lied about it; (3) After they were busted on their lie, the Obama administration began dumping thousands of guns in the hands of Mexican criminals. We also know that hundreds of people were murdered with these U.S.-government-supplied guns, including at least one American, U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. (Contrary to more Democrat lies, there was no program to dump thousands of guns in Mexico under George W. Bush. The Bush administration did have a program that put GPS trackers on about 100 guns in order to actually trace them. That operation was ended almost as soon as it began because of the lack of cooperation from Mexican officials. You may as well say Holder's program was "started" by the first cop who ever put tracer dye on contraband.) No one has explained what putting 2,500 untraceable guns in the hands of Mexican drug dealers was supposed to accomplish. But you know what that might have accomplished? It would make the Democrats' lie retroactively true -- allowing them to push for the same gun restrictions they were planning when they first concocted it. A majority of guns recovered from Mexican criminals would, at last, be American guns, because Eric Holder had put them there. Unfortunately for the Democrats, some brave whistleblower inside the government leaked details of this monstrous scheme. As soon as Congress and the public demanded answers, Holder clammed up. He just says "oops" -- and accuses Republicans of racism. Democrats that hate Fox News have something to hide and don’t want it made public. |
