I have been seeing this dude standing in front of Sheetz holding a sign that says "will work for food", always wearing army brand clothing and always clean and shaved, sometime he is on a cell phone. Don't know the dude, just noticed he pops in to town every once in a while.

His military jacket and hat don't have any patches for name or rank or anything, so he probably bought them at a thrift store or an army surplus.

I have noticed him over in Weston Lately standing there at the light at Sheets. Carson must have kicked him off of his corner. He is young and able bodied. he could get a job. IMO he is just a mooch trying to use the army outfit for sympathy. Salvation army at best......

I've seen him there too. I was thinking of giving him some work. However, I hate to be cynical but if you hired him and he gets hurt on your property, he can turn around and sue you. He seems like a good guy and good worker, but who knows?

If he'd put forth the same initiative in finding a job as he does at standing on the corner begging, he'd probably be working somewhere! Seems a little odd to me....considering the telemarketing places are always hiring. If your desperate enough for work then it shouldn't matter where it's at or how much you make.

Where the job is really shouldn't matter, but it always does. People always think they deserve better than what they are given. I'm generalizing here, I don't judge, but it seems if you can beg for food/work, you can settle. Step up and do whatever it takes to support yourself and your family. That's just what you do. There is honor in the most unlikely places. So what if it's a fast food job? There is always honor in trying to do what's best for your family. More people need to realize this. Who cares if so and so laughs at you for trying, at least you're doing what you need to do.

would he get a job w/o an address? they always require and address and if he really is homeless that leaves that out and yes there is telemarketer jobs but how would he be getting to them w/o a car? you people think everything is simple it is not always simple as that. me and my hubby saw him yesterday for the first time, we drove over to him i handed him a ten dollar bill and said god bless you and he said mamam i can do some worlk for this. i said sorry i dont live here i live in another county--and i do. we are not so poor we couldnt give a little bit to someone in need and the bible tells us to give and not expect something in return. also i know from experiance many people claim to know others and all about their situation when in fact they dont know shit about the person. how do any of us know him if we havent spent time with him? i dont care if he is ex military or not he is a human being and most people wont beg if they dont have to-i mean most people even when lazy has a little pride and arent gonna stand their holding that sign if they dont have to. thanks for my say.

People will tend to believe what you are saying here because they have no reason not to. I'm not saying that you are not truthful, I'm just thinking of the guy standing out there doing what he thinks he has to do. How do you know he got a dishonorable discharge (no details)? One person took him to work? Who? A man or woman? what kind of work did they have him do? If he stole all the meds out of the bathroom was this reported to the police? Was there a police report/investigation. If that is true then why was he not picked up on the corner and brought in for questioning? I would guess that stealing prescription drugs from someone's home would be a felony. If they found any on him he would most likely be in jail. I would just hate to see they guy get a bad reputation over something that was not true. He seems well groomed, able to do a decent days work, smiles and seems pleasant. The woman that offered him ten dollars said he offered to do some work for it. It says something about his character.

Blah blah blah. Just sounds like you are soft and fell for his BS. Feel good knowing you helped support is meth/crack/pill habit that day..... NICE. As far as what you have endured. Gimme a break. Things are tough all over. If you want to throw your money away to a con man that is your buisness just don't come on here making him out to be down and out so others will feel sorry for him and fall for the same trick. Hang out there a watch him get in that car in the parking lot nicer then yours then come back talking about the good in all.......

Everyone on here posting this shit. Noone really knows the guy at all. You've got him in the military, dishonorably discharged, a convicted felon, accused tried and convicted of robbing a home of medications, a bum, and a begger. WTF? All without even knowing the guy? He's not begging for any money. Never happened! He's willing to WORK for anything you give him. What's the difference if someone puts an add in the Prospector willing to mow lawns and this guy? Is it because you see him with a sign in his hands and associate that with behavior like Carson? I am ashamed of most of you!
