I have known Gene since 1991. He was a big help to me when I was divorcing my abusive ex husband, and was very protective over me and my children. He also helped us find a new apartment. I am very disturbed by this news of his death. Although it has been a long time since I have seen him, I have been recalling memories of fun times with him. My son would run into him now and then, and tell me that Gene would always ask how I was doing.

I know he did have a temper from time to time, but I cannot see someone having to stab him in self defense. But, none of know the true story yet of what actually has happened.

I hope Gene will rest in peace.
