An excerpt from:
Day of reckoning for Clinton, Obama
By TOM RAUM, Associated Press Writer

Eric Gingerich, 36, a junior high social studies teacher, normally votes Republican, but voted Tuesday for Obama at an elementary school in Hilliard, Ohio, near Columbus.

"I like how he can bring the two parties together and the country together," he said.

Republican scandals in Ohio have made him more open to Democrats, but Gingerich said Clinton is too polarizing.

"If anybody is going to pull me over to the Democrats it's Barack, not Hillary," he said.

Give me touch screen voting. Filling in the circles is too much like school testing and takes too long. I'll take a punch-card machine at this point!

The Board of Elections needs to fix the bottleneck described below. This has been the same for the past three years:

I voted today at a church in Copley. I am in precinct M. There were six or seven precincts voting at the church. My line had 50 people waiting. There were no lines at the other precinct tables. I was in line for 40 minutes. It was taking 2 to 3 minutes per person at the table. A few people began complaining loudly about the wait. The workers there were clueless. Nobody was in charge. Finally they gave the old lady at my precint table a break and then the line started moving.

Glad Bryan thinks things are going well. Long lines, cranky people, scanners don't work. But then what do we expect? The BOE is in disarray, so why should the voting be any different?

they need to have poll workers park at the end of the parking lot and not closest to the doors....the parking lot was slippery....i know several poll workers and there cars were closest to the doors...they're there all day, so they need to be that close because???

when i went to scan my ballot in, the woman opened it up (it's not suppose to be exposed) and looked at it saying i had to tear off the bottom stub....she could have done this without exposing my ballot...

no use complaining to the summit BOE because they don't CARE....i've complained to them before about a lack of privacy and they claim there IS privacy....

can we vote the BOE out??

The "obscure passage in Romans" Obama referred to reads:

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet (fitting)." (Romans 1:26-27)

Reaction is already being posted on Internet messageboards, including:

Obama is picking and choosing scriptural texts out of context. God's word must be viewed as a whole.... I don't agree with Obama's views which put more emphasis on our current feelings than on the truth of God as seen in the whole of scripture. Christian orthodoxy is what keeps us from drinking Kool-Aid with Jim Jones.

An obscure passage in Romans? It's in the first chapter. With eloquent clarity, Paul condemns [homosexuality] as a challenge to God's created order. Sadly, this is a statement from deep ignorance. That said, Jesus neither supported nor condemned civil unions in the Sermon on the Mount or elsewhere.

It's not so much Obama's position as the speed at which he seems to arrive at his decision that concern me. Personally, I'd willingly assent to civil unions granting homosexuals equal or greater rights than my fellow heterosexuals, since as Christians we needn't insist on being treated fairly and certainly not preferentially.
Obama also sought to set the record straight regarding his belief in God, explaining:

In terms of my faith, you know, there has been so much confusion that has been deliberately perpetrated through emails and so forth. So, just here are the simple facts. I am a Christian. I am a devout Christian. I have been a member of the same church for 20 years. Pray to Jesus every night, and try to go to church as much as I can when they are not working me. Used to go quite often. These days, we haven't been at the home church, I haven't been home on Sunday, for several months now. So, my faith is important to me. It is not something that I try to push on other people. But it is something that helps to guide my life and my values.

OHIO voters have me scratching my head!Hillary Clinton was one of the main architects of NAFTA, now that you've lost jobs, health care, families, communities. You let her smile in your face and she's responsible for the depressed economy in your state. She makes no apologies just pats you on the back! I don't get it! Gluttons for punishment all of you. Where's she been? she invented NAFTA, she should have fixed it a long time ago. You get what you deserve

Change already started - IT STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2006 and its destined to be
complete in 2008 and GUESE WHAT its happening without Hillary and certainly
not WITH Wink Wink NAFTA Obama. The Illusion of Obama bringing some sort of
change is just that an illusion that tells AMERICA that change is somehow
his to give.

Wink Wink Obama has to lie to americans that his type of change is needed
-THE FACTS ARE THAT ITS HIS ONLY DESPERATE HOPE LIFELINE and his only ticket
to the Whitehouse and is entirely based on his fear mongering that the USA
needs some sort of change.

HE HAS NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER. THINK AMERICA THINK !!!!!!

Hillary voters are the only true democrats who are part of the hard earned
blood and sweat change already happening and evolving.

The CHANGE fear Mongering of Phoney Wink Wink NAFTA Obama (aka wannabee JFK /MLK/ AND
FREAKING JESUS) and his aleady fooled flock of sheep voters along with Oprahs
racists are made up of 60% enemy republicans posing as INDEPENDANTS while
pretending to be UNITED with democrats until november when they
conveniently switch their votes for PANAMA immigrant McCain therefore
destroying any real hope of completeing the CHANGE ALREADY UNDERWAY.

Thanks to creepy Pelosi and her gang who are holding the USA back and who will
not Impeach war criminals Bush and thieving cheney, appointing affirmitive action
loosers like Thomas and Scalia, giving up privacy to benifit corporations -
prooves my point that the Democrats are being cheated out of the
CHANGE ALREADY HERE by thinking Wink Wink obama is the one with change.

Thats WHY Wink Wink obama cannot let the USA Know that CHANGE IS ALREADY HERE
and its here WITHOUT Wink Wink phoney creepy obama.

Why would Domocrats want to be contanimated or UNITED with
the same conservative and criminal facist frauds
who SCREWED the most powerful nation on earth for over a decade.

Come on Democrats you have already worked hard for change and took their abuse
dont ask for more of the same old by voting for slimey creepy WINK WINK
OBAMA.

Nick,"If anybody is going to pull me over to the Democrats it's Barack, not Hillary," he said.

"Nick" you can't be from Chicago because you would know that Obama is a product of the IL. Legislature and that no person from there ever brought anyone together. The only thing Obama brought together was Mayor Daley and Tony Rezko who screwed the tax payers out of that $43 million dollars for low income housing in Obama's district. We are still waiting for Obama to answer that question.

Obama never said jesus explicitly condoned same-sex unions in the sermon on the mount. It's more by inference. Neither Paul nor jesus had any real concept of same-sex marriages as we do today. Paul was not condemning the mutual loving relationship of two consenting adults.

Jesus himself said absolutely nothing on the matter at all.

Obama didn't arrive at his rationale quickly. It;s one that has been used by scores of progressive theologians for years to draw the circle of ecclesiastical inclusion ever-wider.

And it's consistent with his (and my) religious denomination's understanding of the subject.

So he's standing on the shoulders of a lot of clear and careful biblical thought, not making careless or hasty decisions.

I have noticed that since the Wisconsin primary, the strategy of fear and divisive politics has raised it’s ugly head once again. I’m actually old enough to remember the politics of the 1990’s, and it’s devastating effects on the Democratic Party. The slash and burn Clinton’s we knew well in the 1990’s, have returned “back from the future,” with a vengeance. Every democrat that remembers these political tactics, has to wonder whether the Clinton political machine is trying to re-destroy the new Democratic Party in year 2008. The political team that now claims to “embody”“change,” is seemingly very comfortable using their same old strategy of fear and divisive politics to reclaim their throne in the White House. Anyone truly interested in the future of our Democratic Party has to be very alarmed. The Clinton’s political strategy of slash and burn will serve them well now, but the eventual cost to the Democratic Party will be devastating once again. The same strategy of half-truths, nuance, fear mongering, and divisive ideological battles, that won the Clinton’s the presidency in 1992, and a subsequent New York Senate seat, will cost our national and local party seats and possibly the 2008 upcoming presidential election. The last time we allowed the Clintons to lead our party, we suffered historical political losses, never seen before in American politics. The net result of the divisive, self-serving Clinton political machine of the 90’s, shrank the Democratic Party base, and cost the party control of the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. The sad result of the Clinton politics, and continuous scandals, eventually empowered George W. Bush past the setting democratic incumbent vice president, Al Gore in the 2000 presidential elections. As a result the republicans have took firm control of the United States Supreme Court, appointing 7 of the last 9 justices, currently serving. Looking at the complete picture, I don’t believe that the Clinton administration or politics have lead, served, or is currently serving our Democratic Party well in any capacity. We have to understand, that as a democrats, we have yet to fully recover from the political damage inflicted by the Clinton administration scandals, investigations, and politics during the “1990’s. As a party, if we don’t learn from our past mistakes, and demand a new leadership, we will surely suffer the same devastating consequences in this election year 2008 and beyond. We have to move forward as a party, and turn the page of fear and division, if we are going to expand our electorate and chart a stronger, more inclusive future for this country and the Democratic Party. Please share this information with any and all voters you know, the future of our party is in the balance.

As they say ... In "The Last Days" they will be blinded from the truth. As a Christian ... Obama scares me ... Not for myself ... But for those that have been blinded.
As to Obama's beliefs ... Even Satan believes in God. And he can quote the Bible very well. He is the great deceiver ... And so is Obama. Obama will tell you anything you want to hear.

This really needs to get out. For all Hillary Clinton Supporters, we need to let people know Obama is using the same tactics to try to intimidate voters that some Republicans were using against Black voters in Ohio. Why is Obama doing this??? Is this the right way to win??? Or to steal Ohio???

Read the article below PLEASE. AND LET YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT THIS!

As election day kicked off today throughout Ohio, Ohio elections officials began receiving complaints this morning from official poll workers. The complaints were in regards to the efforts of Democratic candidate Barack Obamas supporters to serve as legal poll monitors, which would allow to them to set up camp inside the voting stations. However, Ohio has very strict laws and procedures for official poll monitors, which officials now believe that the Obama campaign has violated.

It's difficult to keep your mind on what you're doing today because it keeps wandering off in all directions. There won't be much you can do about this except to be aware of it, and preferably to postpone doing anything very complicated or important until you're less distracted and absent-minded. Unfortunately, you won't get very far with it at the moment.
