Why is he on paid leave?
should of been fired on the spot. Some of these men think they can do any thing they please and women should put up with it. Way to go girls get these pervets out of the working place.

Maybe the police should check with some of the current and past employees and they would find out that these 2 are not the only ones.

This guy needs to be fired. If it's on tape, they have all the proof they need now. Congrats to the women who had the guts to report him. No female should have to work under those circumstances. I'll bet he doesn't think his "jokes" are very funny now.

I hope the good 'ol boy mentality in Shippensburg doesn't come in to play in this case. They need to wake up and see that this guy is wrong and needs to be booted out. There will be a lot of people watching this one.

The remaining Township Supervisors need to demonstrate leadership and do the right thing for
the township residents. Not only is he guilty but he has lied to the Police after its on tape. This man has demonstrated he is not worthy of the
public trust any longer from his actions and then
lying to the police.

See ya...

His guilt is recorded why is he on paid leave? Get him out of here and do a past employee search, you know there are more victims.

Great idea, lets fire him now with no grounds. Then when something happens with the investigation and every thing gets tossed out of court, he can come back and sue. Then he'll be rich, taxes will go up even further and everyone wins.....There is a process involved with something like this. Let your blood lust simmer for a bit, as long as the charges stick, he'll get whats coming to him. Things like this have a ton of liability attached on both sides, so CYA applies on the end of the Township as well. Im sure they'd like nothing more than to cut the guy loose, however, they have to be careful in case some fluke thing should happen with the case.

I don't understand the "paid leave" part of this. Only in local, state, or federal workers does such a policy exist. If he's not working he should not be compensated. Am I not seeing something here where he deserves to be paid ???

I cannot believe that they would give a paid leave! That is just disturbing! If it was just accusations w/out proof fine. But he was caught on tape. Come on! What more do you want? I agree with Lucy and hope too that they aren't lenient with him. He needs punished to the fullest extent and then some. Pervert.

Hmm, let me see:
If the Board doesn't terminate him NOW, and the proof is in the sworn statements to police AND the recordings, then the Supervisors will also become part of the civil lawsuits once they are filed (please ladies, "do the right thing!").

Smart, Mr. Solicitor and Supervisors.

You residents get ready for your taxes to go up again to pay for the court-ordered damage awards.

I hope he and they get hit for Millions.

This guy is a perv - a 21 year-old standing on a ladder.

C'mon on -- can him.

Gtuver is pleading not guilty and is saying he never had a conversation about inappropriate touching.
I hope that taped confession is cut and dry.
What a puss.

I would like to see him fired as an employee of the township if found guilty. He definitely should not be working with these employees. The fact that he is a supervisor presents a different problem - he would almost have to resign the position - he can't be fired from that. But there is another avenue to remove him as supervisor. A petition signed by a percentage (not sure what the exact percentage is - have to check the township code) of the voters who voted at the last municipal election can be presented to authorities. That should do it......... Correct me if I am wrong.

Those 2 employees are very brave. It took alot of
guts for them to come forward. They are not lying
because they would not have even bother to come
forward if it wasn't true. Why would they put their selves in this situatuion if they didn't just want it to stop.(think about it) I feel sorry
for these 2 employees. They have this to go thru
plus still work there. We need more brave women
like them. The one was only 21.(he probably has
kids older than that) would you as a parent like
for your 21 year old daughter to have to be in
that kind of situation every work day.) I sure
wouldn't. Way to go girls.

I certainly hope our taxes do not go up, we pay enough as is in case of civil lawsuit and why should the residents of the township have to pay. I could understand if he was doing work for the township, like driving the snowplow and was involved in an accident that was unavoidable and lawsuits follows. But this was his own personnal actions, his own high, goodness sakes go out and buy a girlie magazines, leave the innocents alone. Let him sell his nice home to pay legal fees and lawsuits. He did this himself!

Why DON'T we wait until the law finds Gruver guilty before we open our mouths with negativity!!
The law will decide and sentence him if he is guilty. Just maybe the girls could be in the wrong as well. Think about that!

Did you even read the article?
__________
On Aug. 25 a trooper place a concealed tape recorder on her. The employee confronted Gruver and he reportedly apologized for touching her and said on tape, "You could screw me up real well."
