Georgia - Glynn County Baby Death Investigation

I have known April for over six years, she has always wanted children of her own. I was the last person to see Mike, April, Preston, and Kristopher here in Asheboro, N.C. I was shocked and horrified when I heard what happened to that precious baby boy. I helped April with food for the kids, and let her wash their little clothes so they would have clean outfits to wear. She never mentioned anything about harming the children...ever. I still can't believe this tragedy happened. I have talked to her husband and her mother since, I bought her 16 month old, Preston Christmas presents...he knew me...he sat in my lap with his head on my shoulder and just held on to me. And, Michael Woods is a sorry excuse for a man, he didn't work, he was hateful to the children, and was never welcome in my home. I never expected this from April, I have known her for so long...she was always a good person, I don't understand why she could let that happen.My prayers go out to the baby and his brother.

I guess only time will tell why she did not just ask for help and get out of that situation. One thing holds true though, and that is that she will have to live with this the rest of her life, a child she gave birth do and vowed to care for and love is dead and her other child is in state custody, she will probably never see him again either.

That my friends is a huge burden to carry for any woman with a brain and conscience.
