I don't think Senior Week should be canceled on account of one student. Teenagers are going to do what they want to do whether you want them to or not. Its part of the rebellion stage of our lives. The last year of highschool is usually spent finding out who we want to be and what we want to do with our lives. so just because one girl had bad judgement doesn't mean that we should all be punished for it.

Just for the record I don't care either way. I wont attend senior week anyway. However, I don't think it's right that senior week be taken away from those who have looked forward to the end of their senior year since kindegarden. There is not one senior at my school that doesn't know what happened with the young lady last year. And so if so many recognize the mistake she made, then wouldn't that influence that much more cause for students to be cautious and re-think their decisions? I think so. Apparantly the principal thiks that a good solution to all problems is to ask no questions and shut down the event on the spot. However, as of right now there is nothing we can do about it...

Can you believe that such a tradition as senior week will be canceled?!?! I can't, especially when the class they're punishing is one of the largest graduating classes in Glynn Academy's history. Why punish this class of students for other students actions? To me that isn't fair at all and I think Dr. Baker's decision to cancel senior week is the worst decision he has made since hes been here. Don't get me wrong, I have an enormous amount of respect for our new principal but this decision is something that I can not and will not agree with. Let me ask you a question. Do you think there is a difference between Brunswick High seniors and Glynn Academy seniors? If you don't think so then do you agree that Glynn Academy should lose their senior week but Brunswick High shouldn't? I know i don't agree with that because we all are the same age group and we all do the same things. Since when is it the schools responsibilty to protect their students when their not in school anyways? Exactly it's not the schools responsibility, that falls into the hands of the parents of the students. It's the parents responsibility for what they let their kids do and that has nothing to do with the school. These are the reasons that senior week should not be canceled. Why puniosh seniors for graduating? Can you believe that a school system will punish its student for graduating after 12 years of schooling?! I understand that Dr. Baker wants us to be safe but it's not his responsibility to do so though and to tell you the truth I think Dr. Baker is trying to save his butt in case something else like last year happens again but thats going to happen if people want to do so either way. Thanks for reading and let Senior Week go on and let us have fun.

I think taking senior week away is BULLCRAP... I have been waiting my whole life this..and some principal cathink he can just come and take away our senior week.. Something needs to be done about this even if they don't listen..They say they care for us if they do they would listen, Dr. Baker is wrong for taking away a tradition like that... And what's really not fair and ticks me off is that Brunswick High Seniors are still having their senior week.. I mean we gone do what we gon do even if we do have senior week..
