White boy got life for killing mixed black girl

How can you tell if its a hate crime when the media reporting it clearly defines the race of both parties involved? Example being "black man rapes white woman" or "white man kills black girl". Why can't they just say "woman raped, suspect caught" or " girl shot by man"?

The suggestion of a hate crime comes from the media.

Unless someone says " I always hated a white woman and wanted to control and dominate her because she is white" or " she needed to die because she is black", there is no indication of race motivation.

Simply put, the news media implies the race issue. That fuels the "hate crime" or racially motivation thought machine.

And I was not saying the girl was killed by accident, maybe it was intentional. I don't recall reading anything that the guy suppossedly said " I hated her because she ain't white, so I stalked her and gunned her down".

What I am saying is that the news media should keep race out of it. It should not be a factor in reporting.

I'm also certain that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton know about this, but if the race roles were reversed, would they care? No.

And, if the race roles were reveresed and there was a white group calling "race crime!!", rest assured, there would be a big scene about white supremecy {sp}.

Just as if there was a channel on TV called "white mans TV", blacks would sue because of that. But, do whites care that there is "black entertainment TV". No. To each his own.

Somewhere, there has to be balance and as long as there are misguided people, it ain't gonna happen.

As I said before, get over the race issue and live. Color of the skin doesn't count for diddly squat. Its the warmth of heart, compassion, nad respect we should judge people by.

The NAACP would sue over WET Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be all over it. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

oh, and by the way. there are alot more black on white crimes than white on blacks. more than double. check your statistics. all you really have to do is type into any search engine "white on black crimes" and most of the results you'll get are actually talking about blacks on whites. but then again maybe this is just all a coincidence. i dont even know why i bother with this. im puerto-rican any way. but most blacks around here still consider us hispanics white, so thought i would jump on this issue.

The black boys beating up a white boy? Are you talking about the Jena 6? That was an awful situation and racism was definitely rearing its ugly head in that school. But, why didn't the black boys just take care of the situation through their church, the school, NAACP, the non violent way. Why did they have to provoke the white kids sitting under the tree? The blacks would have been the better ones to take the legal route and go sit under that tree if it meant so much to them or ask for them to chop it down, and from what I heard on TV, it has been chopped down. In the end, there is a white boy that was almost killed and that is bad no matter the circumstances. The blacks had every option open to them to do it the right way if the tree upset them, but they let their anger and temper mix up their heads and thinking and see what it has got them. So sad and waste of lives.

Imagine that. You are sleeping peacefully when a gang of 6 boys about 16 years old break into your bedroom and took turns beating, biting, kicking and raping you and leave you for dead. And you want them to have run of the streets because of their ages?? What if you had a daughter that was beaten and raped by 6 boys?? Would you be so forgiving then??

She definitely needs counseling as to why she hates white people so much. I am white and in my town, the only racism I see is blacks being racist toward whites.
