White trash with low IQ's don't have the resources to purchase the quarter-million-dollar speed boats and the half-million-dollar-plus cruisers that dominate Party Cove. Geesh Kitty, Just because someone has a big boat or money doesn't mean they aren't white trash or idiots. I know many of both that have both money and toys but have the character of any other low-life scumbag. But then, any woman that is defending the right to bare their breasts in public are certainly in the white trash category themselves and usually don't want to be included in the group they are actually identified with.

If breasts being flashed is the biggest issue some idiots have to talk about, then our country is in great shape.... Women should have the same clothing rights as men.
The party cove rocks... and white trash?? this same stuff happens on the infield of the Kentucky Derby, and many other sporting events. Stay home or out of the cove GET OVER IT. There are 56000 acres at the lake, go find you a nice cove and enjoy. You have to drive in an no wake zone for 30 minutes to get there. You go there because you know it is a party.

Those who CAN & who could party with them love it.

The Lake used to be good for family fun on a week end but (as Brian calls them) the people (make that punks and exibitionists)with low (actually no)IQ's white or otherwise has turned the lake into a useless cess pool. The lake should either be drained or no boat bigger than 14' with a motor no larger than 35 horse. Additionally all booze of all kinds should be banned on all lakes and streams in Missouri. That way real people could enjoy the lake and the streams.

I have two grown kids that are 26 and 28. They have kids that are 2 and 3. When the whole family gets together we have never been offended by what some call "bad behavior". This is every weekend during the summer. However on those rare times that we have all adults, I aim my 19' ski boat to Party Cove, or any of the other venues that may have women exercising their right to remove their tops. These are very hard to find. Believe me I've tried. They are always clearly apparent. You have to want to be there either to enjoy or complain. In the case of PC you have to suffer through a mile of no wake to get there. Anyone who thinks that there is no place for family fun has never been to the lake, or has just been one of the offended ones who just could not take their eyes away. Usually for hours. After that their wife tells them how offended they are. Or it's a woman who does not want anyone else to have fun because she's 1: uptight 2: Concerned that her husbands eyes are wandering (they are) 3:fat or 4:flat If they would chill they would realize the 3 and 4 don’t matter to the other who are having fun. If this describes any of you, please don't come we don't want you. By the way all in my family are college educated. I and my oldest son are teachers. Nobody in my classes know what I do down at the lake. It’s none of their damm business. And it’s none of yours. Turn your head. Go to the other end of the 95+ mile long lake. Pick up a life while your on the way.

So who gets to decide who are the "real people" who get to use the lake? Do we set up an airport-style security screening station at Bagnell Dam? I agree with those that belive if "you don't want to see it , don't go there." This lake is big enough for all and the only worry I have is those that drink in Party Cove and drive out. They are the problem not bare tops!

My family and I have been enjoying the lake for many years, too long to remember. The majority of the time is spent on the Big Niangua where our house is. In all of my years of going there, I have yet to make it to Party Cove. I am not a major "partyer" by any means, however, I do not condone, nor promote the callous behavior which people CHOOSE to partake in at the Party Cove. Though I myself have not been there, what does it hurt? Who is it hurting? Like someone else said, there are 56000+ acres of that lake, can you not find another place to enjoy - it's a big damn lake! As for the boats, sure, I don't like the fact that 50'+ cruisers are allowed on the lake, their wake alone can swamp my 26' Mariah - but who's to say if I (or you) had the money, wouldn't have one for yourself. It's easy to point the finger - until you yourself have been there. Party Cove: let it stay - whether you think it's white-trash hoosiers with little or no iqs, or doctors and laywers - they are having their fun, go have yours. FYI, I have a degree in engineering, and a make a very good living, my brother never went to college - his boat is a hell of a lot bigger than mine - it has nothing to do with education, and everything to do dedication! Quit your bitching or go to Table Rock!

You don't have to be poor to be white trash. Look at Britney Spears. She is one of the biggest white trashers out there. White trash has nothing to do with money, what your house looks like, what your car looks like, etc. It has to do with your attitude, decision making, etc.

...you constantly yell at your wife/husband/children

...you think you are bigger than the rules of the road so you drive like you want to anyway.

...you buy a big boat, go out on the lake and "party it up" with booze and nudity. Sorry... call it "having fun," but it's really just trashy.

...you have ever gone into a store with no shirt or no shoes on.

...you smoke (yup, trashy)

...you go to trashy bars and drink until 2 AM.

If you've answered yes to any of these, you might be white trash. I could go on, but I'm sure I've already offended a lot of white trashies.

Get your lives in order for your sake and your children's sakes (even if you don't have any yet... that lifestyle will creep back up on you later in life... it always does, so don't think you're just having fun while you're young. That thinking just could be your biggest downfall.)

Oh and Alchem, just because you're college educated doesn't mean that you're not white trash either. I knew plenty of white trashies in college, and unfortunately I work with some of them now.
