Hutch Tech plans 300 more layoffs

Hutchinson Technology said today it will lay off another 300 workers by the end of June as it struggles to cope with shrinking demand in the high tech market for its disk drive assemblies.

Disk drives are done, everything is going to chip based memory.
We are now becoming techno-laggers. Soon our ice-box factories and
hand cranked phone companies will shut down too.
