There is no legitimate excuse for burning waste. It is unnecessary and lazy and leads to this kind of crap when you have totally retarded people doing it, which is everyone who burns. I feel very sorry for the idiot who actually burns down homes. They won't need a trial. There will be a lynching. Don't burn, it's dumb and lazy, just like you.

Maybe it was not a control burn, maybe it was a "firing operation" and the area was going to burn anyway. I think the guy that used that excuse last year in Concow did not get a bill for the costs.

Seems like Oroville has quite a few hots spots... this area and the yearly burning of stump field along the wildlife area, river and long bar. I just don't get it. Its time to close all outdoor burning May 15th in butte county. What ever it costs that person should be sent a itemized bill for services. I feel Butte county has the best firefighters and we are lucky to have them. I am sure they have had enough of the repeat offending areas.

This out building was mine. There was much more in it than just camping gear! my sons bed, the kids toys, and other stuff that we just did not have room for in the house were in there. Our neighbor took full responsibility for the fire, and you could tell that he felt terrible for it getting out of control.

He was not burning waste, they were trimming their yard, pulling dead weeds and overgrowth, and such. the burn was on a cement patch, and he had done everything he could to put it out the night before. the day of the fire, it sparked back up and the breeze caught it and carried an ember to the yard. there is no need to be calling names, my property and shed were damaged, and i do not call him names or anything else!
