I knew Che personally. This is not only a huge personal loss; but also, a great loss to our Country and Community. Che exemplified the type of citizen we all need to strive to be. He was a gentleman, intelligent, fun loving, caring, ethical, and of course braver than most. The Capay Valley is distraught with grief. Che was a leader and hero.

My prayers go out to Che's family. I flew with Che on many missions while stationed at Air Station San Francisco. He was a fantastic pilot and great person to know. We all will certainly miss him dearly. You always felt safe flying with this guy and knew that he truly loved doing what he did best, serve the many people of this great nation. God Bless you Che!
