I went to school here in the 1970's when Mrs. Verone was principal. Mrs. Shoeshine was my kindergarten teacher. Good memories.

I remember Mrs. Verone. Everytime she came into our classroom, we all stood up and recited: "Good morning/Afternoon Mrs. Verone!"

In 1975, Ms. Verone was principal. Do you all remember wearing white shirts and navy blue pleated skirts or pants for Friday assembly which was all the way on the very top floor of the building? I use to live on Irving Avenue between Bleeker and Greene. I left P.S. 86 in 5th grade. My friends were Elizabeth Maldonado, Rosemary Flores and Gina. Great school. Taught me how to read and write well. I too was in 3,4,5 IGC classes.
