When I was a pre teen in the late 1960's I went to summer camp, and it was named after Richard T Gosser. If anyone has any information about what happen to the camp, please email me @ stevie44@columbus.rr.com. Thanks

I too was a young camper at the Richard T. Gosser camp. I remember the titles of many scary unseen lake creatures, like "Seaweed Sally and John the Headless boatman." I was only a young man then. Please share any new you have of the camp.

I had forgotten all about Seaweed Sally. I don't remember John. One thing that always stayed with me was "The Banker". He wore a green visor, and always had a cigar in his mouth. We gave him our $2.00 when we arrived, and he gave us an index card with $2.00 written on it. After dinner each night, we went to the candy store, and we would buy candy bars using our card. This was when candy bars were a nickel. At the end of the week, you took your index card in, and he gave you the remaining money. He always made it feel like you were in a world of high finance!

I don't remember any scary creature stories, they must not have shared them with the girls. But I remember the "pier" along the lake and I do remember being able to buy things at a store. And I always remember the first day, when everyone was getting off the buses. Seemed like so many kids. And the mess hall. Long tables. And each cabin had an advisor. Everyone wanted the top bunk. Each year we went we took a friend along. Good memories. Cum by ya!!

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Taurus

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace. A few well-chosen words in a certain person's ear will be more effective than a lengthy conversation at other times.
