isn't it ironic that someone who follows a certain religion that treats women worse than dogs gets blown away by one???

Hasan may have been carrying the burdens of the soldiers he treated when they returned from combat zones, Lanciani said.

"I think he got overwhelmed with it, I would tend to say it was more than he could cope with," Lanciani said.

are you kidding me????This guy was clearly anti-american,had blogs proving it and was MUSLIM,,see the connection here????

Political Correctness is killing us... I can't take much more of this. Ignoring the obvious does not make you enlightened it only makes you a fool!!!

This guy wanted to be a martyr in Islam (which is dying while killing non-Muslims) so he could be on a fast path to their orgy in the sky. And NO NEWS MEDIA is coughing up the FACT that he yelled out 'allahu akbar' before his murderous rage.

What led him to his murderous rage was islam. Everything else is just noise meant to muddle the facts about this Jihadist.

This is a tragedy to all involved but I would caution against any rush to judgement. Anyone can snap, regardless of religion, race, or nationality. Having served for over 20 years in the military and more than 8 at Fort Hood, I can say that there are a lot of stresses that military personal are subjected to that are not common in civilian life. Its just a shame that this wasn't identified earlier so that a lot of lives could have been saved, including Maj. Hasan.

Hasan left a trail of hate (that is beginning to come out) and everyone looked the other way. He set out to kill as many innocents as he could and succeeded. He screamed Allahu Akbar!(God is great!) during his carnage.

There is a crazy man in Iran who has a trail of hate and threatens to blow Israel off the map in the name of Allahu Akbar (while everyone pretends not to hear him). His name is Ahmadinejad and he is not even a psychiatrist.
"Hate trumps all reason"
That is the ultimate goal of the ideologies that threaten us the most, Marxism and Radical Islam. We can't make nice with those whose principal motivation is irrational hatred.

God bless our fallen soldiers and their families.

"The Army can not be blamed for not recognizing Hasan's potential danger, she said."

True, but as it stands, servicemen can't seek mental health counseling without fear that it will damage their careers.

This guy may turn out to have been religiously motivated, but he was certainly crazy. Don't forget that the sergeant who shot and killed five of his fellow soldiers at Camp Liberty in Iraq this May was a Christian. Crazy transcends religion.

You are right Stamos. It is about being politically correct. Don't offend the liberals. I blame the Army for transfering this "Terrorist" to the largest Army base in the country because they paid for his education. He checked out of his apartment and this was all planned and our President should have been there asap for the wounded and the soldiers that were killed. This is another 9/11 only it was 11/06 this time. Wake up America and protect this country from another terrorist attack. We have a President who doesn't care. This should have been on the front page of this newspaper.

Was Timothy McVeigh also a martyr in Islam. These guys are pushed to the brink in flight or fight syndrome by our governments and politicians actions and brainwashing and this is the result.

Had it been a Timothy McVeigh or a conservative Christian who did this, it would have been everywhere and he would have been condemned immediately from all quarters. Since it's a Muslim, it's hands off.
They're talking about stress and what triggered this. Well, why did this guy join the army in the first place? No one forced him to.
Call this man what he is: a TRAITOR who should be executed for TREASON against the USA.
His superiors who knew what he was and did nothing, despite numerous warnings from this man's peers, should be court-martialed for neglect. Their political correctness cost over a dozen people their lives.

Hasan was only hollering "Allah Akbar!" while shooting people. That wasn't jihad, was it?(After 9/11, I'm still a little fuzzy.)

please allow me to explain,....you see,.. am an intelligent person. I have moments where I am completely rational, when I make so much sense that the school professors want to publish my work. At other times, I'm completely lost, hallucinating up a storm. I think that's where people get confused. They can't understand how someone as bright as I am can so quickly dissolve into a pile of senseless jibber-jabber. Hell, I don't even know how I do it.

I can't go 24 hours without a couple of major psychotic episodes. I am all alone, with no one to help me reality check. I have an individual therapist, but I am not his only patient, and I don't like to bother him with my crazy questions and irrational fears. So, I sit at home in my Mother’s refurbished basement Inlaw apartment and suffer alone along side my 12 year old computer with windows “95”. I can't sleep because of the nightmares. Sometimes I forget to eat, because I forget that I have to actually put the food in my mouth in order to get the benefits of satiation. I know. Unbelievable. I can understand braided time-space, but I can't seem to understand that I have to eat in order to gain nutrition. I don't get it. I swear I don't get it.

You are correct my friend. The media has become the censored media.
This was a terrorist act and will be covered up.
God Bless the people that were involved in stopping this man.
My prayers to the families of the decease. Thank you to the dedication of the families and Service Members that Volunteer to be in Harms Way for the American People. This is a tragic event.

American Vets have been vets for a long time and this hasn't happened before. This is a guy who didn't want to go and didn't want the US to go against Muslims. He was shooting as a Muslim, not as a Aymy soldier. He has a track record of his attitude.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Gemini

Grit your teeth as Mars turns retrograde, as things annoyingly don't go to plan. Certain people are going out of their way to be difficult. Is an older relative throwing the proverbial weight around and telling you what to do? The greater the gap between your ages or social status, the more irritated you'll be.
