Mr. Boland (Walt), my name is Jack Ross, son of Elmer Ross. I am unaware of any "Google" posting regarding my dad, Elmer. Would you please update me on this post even though it is quite dated. I would be happy to respond/communicate with you on anything regarding Defender and what it meant to dad, or provide any other information you may need. |

Hello Walt...sorry for the delay...my desk top computer laid an egg and we now have a laptop. I lost alot of information from the desk top, but now I'm back. No sir, I do not know John Martino. As far as the Schuler's yes, my mom still speaks to Elsie on a regular basis. DFC was a great place and I have some wonderful memories. That building certainly had it's cast of characters. Hope all is well with you. Dan |

[ Hi Dan
I Understand computer problems they are great when all is well. I read in one of your messages that you were with the AC police. I cameback from Combat with the 8th AF in early 1945. I wanted to stay close to home so I volunteered to Be an MP. I patroled the Boardwalk 12 to 8 with an AC policeman many a nite. Then I became a Patrol Sergant and had a 10 man patrol. My last duty was leading the 1945 Miss America parade as Honor Guard. Glad to hear your mom is in contact with Elsie I know she appreciates the suport. Walt |
