Could have had church and a prayer meeting to pray for Rockin Rob, the athiest, and the guy that has been badly misguided into believing that he owns Hickory. The only hickory that you own is the limb that should have been taken to your bottom.

Yes, have church and prayer meeting to pray for me. The bible says (Matthew6:5-6) that you should pray in secret. Not standing in synagogues or ON STREET CORNERS as the hypocrites do. So return to your closet and pray for me please.

1. what are you talking about? I didn't say anything about not having the right to free speech, I just pointed out that to publicly pray goes against your gods wishes.

2. What are you asking here? Do I know where I am going in life?? If so then yes, I do have a plan for my life as I am sure you do as well. If you are referring to some sort of afterlife, then I must ask you to provide proof that one exists.

And if you truly feel the need to pray for me then please do so quietly and privately. But I might suggest you pray for something much more worthwhile like an end to world hunger and violence. Or perhaps a undeniable miracle which only a god could have performed that can be viewed simultaneously around the world so that there would be no doubt that he indeed does exist. Pray for that. That would do more to convince me that I am wrong about there being no god more than anything you or anyone else could possibly say to me in person, on a forum, or from a street corner.

the "freedom of speech" comment was directed for the first post, not for you. I apologize about that. The other, well.. I believe in God, I believe in after life, I believe in the Holy Spirit and I believe in speaking in tongues. I believe everything happens for a reason and when tragedy happens and people question, where was God in all this, I believe that God has a purpose that only he knows. If we call out to him, he will deliver. If we have whole-hearted faith, he will never forsake us. Bad things still do happen to God-fearing people, but we have to be strong through the storm and wait for what God has planned for us all. As for door-to-door preaching and those who pass out tracks or stand on corners.. sometimes people who are lost or have back-slide need those reminders, we need to hear the word of God to bring us back to what's important. If we didn't have these people doing this, many souls would be lost because those who are lost will not step into a church voluntarily. It'll take preachers doing what they do on Saturdays, coming to us and doing Gods work to show us the way. God is good all the time. All the time, God is good. God Bless you and yours.

Not an exactly atheist but no, you're not alone.

There was a street preacher in Statesville when I lived there who was batshit insane. I wonder if it's the same guy.

So then there is no free will? If so then how can each person be judged according to their works? If it were meant for a person to die a violent death how could those who killed that person be held responsible?

Funny how an infallible god has to rely on man who is corruptible to carry out his work. It is also funny you mention how those who are lost don't seek god voluntarily. They need MAN to guide them. Why do you think this is?

Have you read the old testament? god was out of control, smiting innocent people seemed to be his hobby. And if he were all powerful and created everything why did he have so much regret in the O.T? Why temp Adam and Eve by creating the tree of life and tree of knowledge? Surely he must have known what was to happen since he is all knowing and has a plan for everything.

you obviously know the bible thoroughly. What happened to steer you away from our God? Please don't answer that, it's none of my business, that's between you and our God. I will have you in my prayers. God bless you and guide you now and always.

Believe me, your God and mine are different... my God doesn't think that Latinos should ruin America, like they have the rest of the world. Of course, Catholics don't practice birth control, do they? The Pope may be Catholic; but, my God isn't. I will pray for you, maybe.

Our God wants love, peace, happiness, brotherly love amongst all people, all races. He frowns upon hate, prejudice, racism etc. That, my friend, is what you are spewing. You are delusional if you truly believe that you are doing right by God and serving him best way you possibly can when making comments like "Latinos ruin America" or "I will pray for you, maybe". That's twisted and wrong. You speak of God and hate all in the same sentence. Read the bible again, it clearly says over and over and over again how we should love one another and take care of one another.

When the pearly gates open, I will look to my right, then to my left. I will not see you on either side because of all the hate you have in your heart. I am a very quite and legal Hispanic. I am Puerto Rican so I do not need or have ever needed a visa card to get in or out from sweet USA. I believe in and love God very much. I do not bother anyone. I work and go to church and then straight home. I bother no-one. Yet, at work or out and about.. I get teased or talked about because I am thought to be "Mexican" I'm not, but if I was... and, what about it? My point is, I never respond, I simply walk away and honestly, I forgive each and every single one of them. I don't have hate or dislike for anyone. I don't bother anyone, yet I am bothered. If I can forgive and love, why can't you do the same? The world is changing and the wedge between Hispanics and non-Hispanics is getting smaller, although I know, realistically, it will never be perfect. I am legal, I am educated, I work, I pay taxes, I go to church, I always have a friendly smile for everyone, I stay home etc., etc., what have I done to you?

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Taurus

This is another day in which you should be monitoring the progress you've made so far with the festivities and deciding what has still to be done. You're operating very efficiently right now but you'll be even more effective if you can plan your time carefully, write lists of what you must buy or make, and be realistic about your capabilities. But don't expect to work miracles.
