Road Crew Tosses American Flag in Dump Truck, Sparks Rally

The road crew that dumped the flag in the truck, should be fired! I can not believe taxpayer money is paying is wages. He and the foreman needs to learn the proper way to dispose an American Flag.

The city leaders need to be tarred and feathered. The desecration of the flag is the last straw the community should tolerate. The proper way to dispose of aan American flag, according to flag etiquette is burning and not throwing it it the back of a dump truck like trash. Guess if I had been a city worker I would have lost my job as I would have refused to do it

There's no such thing as an "American" flag.

One of the dumbest things I have read lately! When does honoring the American flag have to be such an issue! Just how PC does one have to be? I would think anyone that loves this country would have no objections to flying the flag for our returning troops!

Just like there is no American Army or American Air Force, there is no such thing as an "American flag". Maybe you could honor the flag more by actually knowing the name of the country you live in.

Honoring the Flag, like respecting my parentage or siblings, is not a matter of legality.

Legally, anyone can say anything they want about Mom or Sis, BUT..........
hopefully their health insurance is up to date

At the risk of being politicly incorrect, I bet if you get to the bottom of who commited the act that it was a land scape crew and they were probubly from another country, to wit not giving The Flag of The United States Of America the respect it deserves, Just one more example of what is going on in this Nation, Food for thought calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling a Drug dealer an unlicensed Pharmiacist. Now I know having lived in Maryland all my Life it is a liberal State, and some who read this will say he is a Bigot, I have no problem with people coming to this country to visit as long as they go home when they are done, however if you come here to live you must be assimilated and become part of this team, Happy New Year and may God bless our Troops.

Regardless, don't plant your trash in the center of the people's property and the people won't have to send a garbage man to pick it up.

They destroyed a tree in this roundabout to plant this flag... and it is not their property. If they wanted a flag there, they could've petitioned the local government to request one. But they can't just stick a flag wherever they want to. It's no different than another neighbor deciding they want to fly a PETA flag, or an Iranian flag, or anything else.

It saddens me that so many Americans get puffed up about such silly things, based on ignorance.

Go to the mall today. You'll see the flag being "desecrated" on jackets, towels, toys, furniture, etc. etc. etc.

Where's the outrage against corporations that stick Old Glory on the back of a jacket... or airbrush it onto the side of an RV.

While I appreciate the service of the vets on this forum, I humbly submit you people need to get a life.
